The average family size, I believe in US is 3 or 4 children. How many kids we as parents should have, 1, 2, 3 more. Please provide your view and also why you think that number is good. In the old days, we use to have big families what happened now? Is it too expensive to raise the kids or we don't want to sacrafice our freedom with the responsibility of having more kids. If the number of children are just two or three, are they getting enough love? Thank you for your responses.

i think 3 to 4 is good if you afford it, if not then don't. now a day is much more expensive to raise a child. in the old day, people just have the child first, and then only worry, but now, we have to worry the future of our child first before having one, and also need to worry about our own future first.

We just had our first 9 weeks ago and are planning on having at least two and possibly up to four children. I can't imagine only having one, yet the decision of anything beyond 3 is one for another day. I believe the more kids you have the more you are dividing the attention/love they will get, so it is not fair to spread yourself too thin. What do you think?

That choice should be left to couples as they are the ones who will bear the responsibility first and foremost. As for me, I'm happy with my 2 kids, and my husband and I have no plans of adding more. My choice to have less children is more because of the thought that I'll be able to provide well for them than worrying about losing freedom, it's thinking about their future than of my own pleasure.

In fact, in China, we have the only child policy, which means that one family could only have one child, and if the family bear more than one child, there will be something like fine. This is because in our country, there are too many people that it bring a lot of pressure to the economy and the resource, this policy could do some relief.

well, now we are just more concern on the quality of life we are to provide for our kids. with education, medical and high cost of living, we certainly wont be able to have so many kids.
i wish to have a boy and a girl. and then maybe another child, regardless a boy or a girl.. that would be MY dream! :)

you should have as many children as you can afford to raise and that is all there is to it. No one should have the right to tell you how many children you should or should not have. This is a personal decision that you should make between yourself and your husband and not one that should be decided by anyone else.

1 or 2 The world already has enough people.
If there are more people. There will be more hungry people. The earth has a capacity.
