Have you lost weight using the Nintendo Wii Fit?

I am trying to lose weight and get in shape so I bought the Nintendo Wii and the Wii Fit balance board. I've been using the board since February doing various exercises from the Wii Fit game. My routine usually consists of hula hoop, boxing, step, and running. I'll also do a little yoga or strength training before doing the aerobic workouts. Overall I exercise for about 30-45 minutes 3 days a week. I know I should do more, but it's hard when I work so many hours. Since I've only lost 2 pounds with the Wii fit, I decided to buy the Jillian Michaels 2009 exercise game for the Wii. I've only used it 4 days, but it seems like a much better workout. I do 30 minutes and I am totally sweating. The game says I burn over 200 calories each time, so I'm hoping that I will see some weight loss soon. I usually watch what I eat, and try not to eat a lot of junk food, or drink a lot of soda, but I can't seem to lose weight. I currently weigh 148 pounds and I would like to get down to 125 pounds. Has anyone out there lost weight using the Nintendo Wii Fit? Or more specifically, using Jillian Michaels 2009 exercise game for the Wii.

Thanks, I hope I can lose a lot more but it's really hard. If you're thinking about getting a Wii you don't have to use the Wii Fit board for Jillian Michaels workout game. I don't know about those other exercise games, but at least with hers you can get started without buying the balance board.

I have had the wii fit for several months now and if I sleep good and eat good, and also I have noticed if i get on the wii fit several times a week I keep at a good fit. I have in the past few months lost a total of 22 pounds which puts me lower then what i am supposed to be but I also gained back 13. With a good system and sticking with it I have no problem with losing weight and keeping fit. The wii and wii fit is one of the best investments I have ever made.

I've had the Wii Fit for almost a year now and have used it on & off for the year. When I started I had a BMI of 27 now it is BMI 28.5 :( But that is largely due to the fact I have not changed my diet in this time. Three plus pizzas a week is not healthy. A month back I changed my diet and started doing the Wii Fit in earnest. I'm heading back down to a BMI of 28 but it is taking time. I am considering trying a different product as Wii Fit lacks any real structure, and while when I first got it Wii Boxing killed me now I can take it in my stride. EA Sport Active looks very good, as does Your Shape by Ubisoft. How are you finding Jillian Michaels 2009?

This is a really good discussion because video games are really important in peoples lives, because they are an excellent source of entertainment especially if you are bored,or if you have nothing to do,and if it is a cold day,or if it is snowing outside or if it is a rainy day,or if it a wet day because it was recently raining or if it just one of those days you do not want to leave the house then video games are a perfect thing to help you pass the time, and video games are also a good way to relieve stress and I think there is nothing better to help get out frustration then slaughtering aliens that are trying to take over the Earth like in the games Halo and Halo 3 at least that is my opinion lol,and I am sure there are a lot of people out there who like video games and they have one console gaming system or maybe a couple of console gaming systems that they prefer to play games on,,and there are probably people out there who either do not have a favorite console gaming system because they do not like spending much time playing video games,or they are usually very busy and do not have time to play video games,or because they have things they prefer to do in their spare time other than playing video games, and then I am sure there are people who hate video games and think that they are nothing but trouble, and I am sure that there are probably a lot of people who like the Wii Fit,and think it is useful for losing weight, and then I am sure there are probably people who do not think the Wii Fit is useful for losing weight, and me and my fiance are hoping to one day get a Wii and maybe even a Wii Fit,because one of our friends, sister has a Wii Fit and he says it is good for losing weight, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.
