Which operating system has best features and security among these??

I use Windows Vista and I am pleased with it. Most people I know like Windows XP which I haven't ever tried. I know a couple of people that say that Linux is by far the best operating system. I have a firewall against getting viruses and so far it has worked really well. Windows Vista has some great features and with additional product it seems fine with security.

my answer would non of those you mentioned.. xp is flexible but lacks security and got less features.. vista and linux has good security but lacks flexibility but got good features.. mac good when compared to limited/no loophole but its not so flexible on application basis.. currently Windows 7 is almost satisfying this about two , anyway it still in RC..

Among these four vista has best features than other . Lixux is the best one for security. There is no chance of virus in it. And linux has got good features too but its hard to use. I have never used MAC and i don't know a lot about it.

Linux and Mac

I think Linux is more safe than others operating systems. Max OS also is safe. Windows is too danger.

I think Unix should be the best feature amont all your above list OS, actually, i am a programer with Unix, as you know, Unix & Linux are open sourse OS, there are so many genius(hacker) around our world, For XP and Vista, everyday will expose so many issues, Hacker will control your TP via telnet or some other technical, But for Linux & Unix, people know that it s no necessary to make a backdoor, If you are XP Hacker, you will get lots of money as you find some backdoor, So if you use Linux, I think it will be more security around u.. That s my point

if you consider safe and security software i think linux is the best in the world nobody cna have more from an os in security seeting and configuration than the different linux ones!!! i guess mac it should be good too seeing that it have a basis on unix so normally safer than windows one but i nver tried a mc os for long time so difficult to judge it from security point of view!! Windows i think it should b less safer also because they have some bugs in security but also many viruses and amlaware were written based on microsoft primarly so for this reason in mnay cases windows will be attacked much than others and i think is normal seeing that is the os much spread in the world as for symbian in mobile phones.. as reagrds functionalities or user inteface i think lastly windows systems win over the other i think some distribution of linux as ubuntu,mandriva,feodora,zenwalk and so on have a really improved interface but may be less capable and easy than windows one..as regards mac is medium not so good not so bad...so deriving from tha i guess the easiest os to manage is windows...and may be mac and linux will be on the same level too!!

I use vista as it come with my new laptop... I think it should be someone who use the pc who responsible for its security setting. All os is the same (may be price and various GUI that makes it different), so... I think I don't pick the winner.

Linux. Though I have not worked with this OS, I have heard from many of my friends who are using this system as this is the only OS,which is less likely to be infected by the virus.But it seems this OS is not supporting all of the programs or software as like windows.

I use my laptop to Windows Vista and XP for the desktop. But I am pleased with XP, because it is simple and quick process.

I've got to hand it over to XP. It is the most reliable operating system between vista and XP. I have not used a MAC or Linux based computer so I cannot give a review about the other two. Between xp and vista, vista is much faster but it has certain lag times regarding boot up and something else which xp has a better edge. But all in all it's all about personal preference.

if u need performance then it will be through Xp.. as most of the softwares are more compatible and made for xp.. but the only thing it lacks with vista is security... vista has more security service.. but that can be fulfilled with a installation of a good antivirus.. i am using xp... I prefer using xp. coz vista has too many things to do and more difficult to use compared to xp. its easier to use and more convinient

Best to get software that does it the work. I have heard linux is good with security. Most likly , its open source. It would be professional software.
