I have always monitered my kids television intake, I put privacy blocks on most channels and make sure they don't watch television too much, but I understand not all parents are of the same mind, like my cousin she claims that she truts her kids not to wtch inappropriate, shows or channels.

the only tv we have in the house that works is in the living room and the remote sits on top of it, so the kids get to pick out a program and we all watch it... since my kids are 6 yrs old and 18 months our choices are sesame street or cartoon network... etc, pretty much all the kid networks until it becomes prime time and we watch family shows like Wipeout and things like that ... so yes, we pretty much sensor what our kids watch. If they want the channel changed, then I will grab the remote and change it for them... so again I am in control of the tv. LOL
Happy mylotting.
