What do you think is the best movie of all time? Is there one that stands out for you, maybe that reminds you of a certain time in life or evoked a strong emotional response? Maybe one that made you laugh so hard that your sides hurt? What do you think is the best movie of all time and why?

This is actually a little difficult for me as I there is one film which I think is the best movie of all time, but it is not a film which I have any sort of emotional attachment to. For me this film is "The Godfather", I say it is the best as it is the most complete film I have ever wathed. It has an amazingly dramatic plot line, a stellar class and mixes all genres of the movie world from horror, drama, comedy and romance effortlessly. But the film which I feel most emotionally attached to is "The Pursuit of Happyness". There are numerous aspects of the storyline which resonate strongly with me and so ranks as probably my favourite film. But for me being my favourite and being the best are two different things.

Hi thea09, the movie is based on the autobiography of Chris Gardner, although it really only covers a small section of the book which is an amazing read.

It's terrible, but I have never seen either of those, and they are such classics! I'll have to change that.

Hi cheekysuze, I have lots of favourites, one day I think one is better than the other, if I wanted to watch something now which is excellent and a favourite I would have to go with David Lean's 'Ryan's Daughter'. Set in Ireland it is a beautiful film with some truly brilliant scenes, the most memorable being when the villagers cut Rosie's hair off. Highly recommended. Ask me tomorrow and my mood will have changed and I will have a different opinion of the best movie ever.

I can´t imagine someone who thinks tha One flew over the Cuchoo´s Nest was funny. For me it was one of the best movies I have seen but it was a terrible drama. How did you see it?

For the past couple of years, my favorite movie has been a movie called "Four Brothers". It's probably categorized as a "gangster"-type movie, but it's actually really raw, emotional, & even sentimental - and makes me cry EVERY time. I would definitely suggest it. It also has a bit of humor in it, too. I don't think it's the best movie of all time, but it's definitely one worth seeing.
