I myself, would like to meet the girl of my dreams, raise up a family of 2 kids, preferably one daughter and one son.. let the son be the eldest.. And hopefully they will learn how to swim and play piano.. thats all i will ask from them..
Swimming builds up the inital body muscle, whileas piano builds up the discipline and determination.
how about you guys?

yes, but not so soon. maybe at the right time. by that, i mean the time when everything about me is settled.i'm already financially independent and self-sustaining.raising your own family is no easy feat. you really have to prepare for it, physically, financially and emotionally.

No, not at this time. I am planning to have my own family about 5 years from now. I am still saving for our future.

I often dream of having a family. I'd like one girl and one boy, just to be in balance. In a house with a little garden, nothing mush, just want to have that perfect happy family. I don't want to be the divorced kind of parent like my parents were for me.

Im sorry to hear that your parents are divorced.. My best friend's mum ran away with another guy when he was 10, and he was abused by his dad until 20 years old. Which was then he broke away from his family and lived on his own..
Goodluck to you toonvk! Work hard in achieving the BEST family in the world!

Hi! My husband and I are a happy family of two. We never wanted kids for many personal reasons. My husband is the man of my dreams, but like the previous poster mentioned, don't have such an idealistic person in mind--you may be asking too much when a perfectly suitable woman is right in front of you.
Remember that kids are entirely individualistic human beings. So many hopeful parents think that their kids will be into certain sports, hobbies, or have a certain personality, only to be disappointed after realizing that no matter how much you push piano lessons or football, they simply don't catch on or don't like it. If you want kids, you should let them pick their own hobbies and choose what they want to do, even when they get old enough to have careers. Sitting here imagining the perfect family for you is easier than having a family and realizing things don't always go so perfectly. If you end up having two daughters after hoping for an older son and a younger daughter, will you be disappointed? Perhaps your wife will give birth to a physically handicapped son or daughter that cannot learn to swim? Perhaps your wife will not be able to have kids?
It is okay to dream, but it sounds like you are counting on everything to go just right. You cannot control life circumstances or your future children's interests...so dream, but don't expect. :)

Hmmmm... I can see where you're coming from...
Regarding the hobbies and sports-wise.. i am actually quite flexible..
the reason why i suggested swimming is because its one of the most all-rounded sports in the world ( you train your entire body's muscles )
The reason why i suggested piano is becauses it challenges your brain muscles both in creativity and discipline..
However if he/she decides to give up halfway, i am fine with it, just wanna give him/her an initial boost to their character development..
have a great day!

I intend to raise a family.I would like to do it with the man I would love forever.however,I am also open to the idea of being single forever.if that is my destiny, then i'll accept it.as long as I can fully provide for myself,I'm good.

Well, I don't mind the thought of getting married if it is to the right person, but I'm pretty sure I don't want children.
Part of the reason is the recession. 1/3 is that I don't think I would make a very good mother...and the rest of the reason is that so much evil is going on in the world today that I don't want to bring a child of mine into it.

I got married 4 years ago and now has a 2 year old boy. I'm hoping to start getting another one, be it a girl or a boy, it doesn't matter. As parents, all you could wish for is that your children are born healthy and stay healthy throughout their lives.

I have already started a family. 2 beautiful young kids, are we are now in the process of raising them. I'm lucky enough to have met my soul mate, and he's an excellent father. As for what I want for them? I want them to grow up being secure with who they are. All the other stuff is secondary. If they believe in themselves, and know that their father and I do as well, they can accomplish anything. Self-doubt is a terrible thing.
