Wii Fit

This is my mii - This is a mii that I made of myself from myavatareditor.com. It kind of looks like me except I have more grey hair, wrinkles and I actually have hands instead of little purple balls. You can make your own avatar that looks very similar to the Nintendo Miis at this website.

I am up to one hour a day on the Wii Fit. I've only been using it for about two weeks. Do any of you out there use this product? I didn't think that you could get a really good workout with this "game" but you really can. I do mostly the aerobics and balance games along with a few yoga and strength activities and you really do work up a sweat, especially if you are overweight and out of shape like me!

I know you was asking if anyone was using the WII FIt but i was just curious if you had been losing any weight just by using it. I've been trying to find something to be interactive that me and my daughter can start doing together. I'm on the Micael Thurmond life style plan now and I'm doing okay but needing something to increase my fat burning, but to be where its not an excercise video. I was looking at the WII Fit because you can control what the people on the screen do. Or atleast thats what I've been told. And even with the regular games you still get some what of a work out depending on what you get. Thanks for the response if you respond.

Actually, I have only been doing it for about two weeks, but I have lost two pounds. I know that is not a lot. I would love to lose about fifty! But it is a start and the thing I like about it is it's fun. It does not feel like I am exercising. My whole family is thin except for me but we all have fun using it together. You get to do hoola hoops, jogging or marching in place, step aerobics, balance games like heading a soccer ball, yoga (I'm not too good at that), and strength games (like push ups, etc. - I'm horrible at those), but you have a laugh and you get fit at the same time. Two pounds isn't much but I do notice a change in my measurements already. Sometimes you can't go by what you see on the scale. I take my measurements and go by that or by how my clothes fit. It's way too soon for me to see any change in my pants size but things are shifting around if you know what I mean. I don't know how old your daughter is, but she would probably love it. I have four kids, two girls and two boys, and they all have a great time using it.

My little girl is almost 4 and she wants to do wat I do. Thats why most normal machines don't work too well for me. I keep her full time since im not working. I hope it works for you

Have you ever thought of trying Tae Bo for Kids? It's really fun and a great workout. Billy Blanks (I think that is his name) leads the class with two women and the rest are all kids of different ages, shapes and sizes. Does your daughter NEED to work out or is it just to keep you company?

I have the Wii Fit too. I haven't gotten any results with it, but it has motivated me to exercise more. Now I don't use it as much, but I joined a running group so that's probably why. Before I got the Wii Fit I wasn't really exercising at all for quite awhile.

Well I hope it helps you. It's better at least to do something than nothing. I figure that at least if I'm not losing pounds or inches, I am certainly getting into better shape now. I've had the Wii Fit since Christmas and I still like it, so I think it has some staying power. At least, far more than other game systems (excluding the computer). Most games end up sitting there with me. But I allow myself to play on the Wii because I figure at least it is exercise.

Which games on the Wii Fit are you using? I really work up a sweat doing the aerobics. I love the advanced step - in fact I wish that it was a little longer or maybe faster. The hula hoop is great for abs and the rhythm boxing is good for your arms. But you have to really do it everyday. I stay on for an hour every day. I've only been doing it for 2 weeks but I already feel that my stomach is not quite as full looking and my waist feels a little smaller.

Neither did I. I have a health condition (Fibromyalgia) and when it gets bad I can barely stand or walk, let alone bounce around and do aerobics. I also like to do Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pound DVDs. It's pretty easy for someone who is overweight like me and not too difficult when I get sick. But when I feel good, I just want to have fun and so far I'm enjoying the Wii Fit. I don't know how long it will last, but so far so good.

I have never tried playing wii fit! I would like to have the chance to one day :) None of my friends have a wii fit and my family isn't really into that kind of thing. Although I can probably buy one for myself but since I'm rarely home and I have a very limited space in my place near work, I think it would be a very inconvenient equipment around. Thanks for the response on my discussion :)
