HEllo guys! I am a meat lover by nature but just recently, my hubby decided to be more healthy by evading meat in his diet, he's now on greens and whites, so to speak. I am still having the same diet of greens, whites, and reds-- this is for the pork or beef i usually enjoy with my meal. Do you think I also change with him? How about you friends, do still devour meat particularly pork or beef? Thanks for sharing!

i love also eat that kinds of foods, it give us energy to work heavy jobs. but then it is not good also to eat every time that kind of food, we need also to balance our diet and eat healthy foods like vegetable and fruits.

My favorite meat is beef. As to pork, I like to use it to make some dishes. I think the balanced diet is healthier. Namely we have to eat more different foods, rather than depending on meats or vegetables only. I love China

i also include meats on my diet, beef or pork...anything can do, i think there's nothing wrong with it for it is also a good source of protein... but just make sure that you are just consuming a right amount...i mean not too much coz as e all know, too much of it can harm our health... so if you feel that you can't set yourself free from pork yet, then don't deprive yourself from having it...just consume a fair amount of serving... well there's really a lot of delicious foods made from meat!hehhe

Not so much. I think the only time that I have pork is for breakfast because of the ham and sausage (and it's in controlled portions), because I cannot eat seafood in the morning. Since I decided to be a healthy eater, my diet consists mainly of seafood and salad. As I said, the only time that I get to have some pork is in the morning. The same goes for beef. The only time I get to eat beef is when I have some corned beef for breakfast.

I don't eat any type of meat! i'm a vegetarian. I've been one for about five years and i have never regretted it. the only thing i miss is not have as much protein in my diet but i've found other foods that give me more and healthier protein then is found in meat. I remember (before i became vegetarian) that use to like eating bacon. There's just something really nice about it but it's very fatty so i never ate it too often.

It is said that abandoning red meat in your diet will make you live more longer and healthy. But I think it is a pity if you dont eat meat,it is very delicious.

I feel a lot better since I cut way down on red meat, I eat it maybe once every ten days. I still eat chicken but rarely eat pork and my portions are very small, usually part of a vegetable dish or casserole. I'm not a meat lover, but I realize I need some to be healthy. I'd love to be a vegetarian but I don't like most vegetables and I don't like most fruit.

Sorry, I gotta go with your man on this one! I don't eat reds anymore. I will say this though, if you can get organically grown red meat it would be okay. It wouldn't have all the antibiotics and stuff like that in it then. I don't eat much meat at all actually. If Ido purchase chicken, I try to buy organically grown chicken as well.

I gave up meat two years ago but my family still eats it. I have to do the cooking so they get less meat than they used to because I don't want to touch it. It is much better when my husband barbecues because then I don't need to go near it at all. You do not need to give it up just because your husband did, but too much meat is not good for your system anyway. What do you mean by greens and whites?

I have a lot of Muslim friends who can't eat pork, and Hindu friends who can't eat beef, but I still eat beef and pork when I am with them (not always). I think its easier on you to adapt to his way of eating so you don't have to make separate things for each of you if you are cooking. If he is intent on becoming a full-fledged vegetarian I'd recommend he do some research on what he won't have in his diet. I know there are some nutrients you don't get (that you might not even get from soy which is a good protein supplement). I'd say if you still enjoy them then go ahead and have them, it would just be easier to be vegetarian with him. He could also stay healthy and still have meat by having extra-lean of whatever meat. It has a little bit less flavor (easily remedied with spices and the way you cook it) but it more healthy for you without going full vegetarian. Also I'm not a trained health person or whatever, but I have been a pescatarian (vegetarian+fish) and I'd say at least research any diet changes before you do them so you know you're still getting your standard nutrients and vitamins and whatnot.
