On July the 3rd my teacup chihuahua gave birth! She is very small so I was only expecting two or three and hoping that at least two would make it. I thought she might even have to have a c section and was so scared when she started labor at 3AM. It took her til 4:30Am to give birth to the cutest little thing that I had ever seen. I kept waiting for another one but to my surprise..one was it. that's fine with me though because one little perfect guy is enough. We are calling him Uno right now..lol

My grandmother that I reunited with in California for the best 4 years I had in a long time had always insisted on being called NaNa. I guess it was the first thing I had called her when I was a baby and she didn't want it to change..lol..I think when it's time I want to be a MiMi..lol

Solo - at a few days old
When Cappie had her emergency c-section and only had one kitten, I proclaimed myself a grandmother and named the kitten, Solo, sight unseen. It was only later I learned he was a he and not a she.

Solo - at about 18 months
Yeah, he was big enough that his little mom needed a c-section. He was also always ahead of his age in size. He was half a week ahead at birth, a week ahead at a month, half a month at 3 and out weighed his mom at 5 months. She only weighed 6 lbs and he weighed 6 and a half. We expected him to get to 15 lbs, but he topped out at 12 lbs at 10 months and that's where he stayed. He's still a big boy tho, and I'd bet he weigh more if we can get his teeth worked on.

Heyya ElicBxn! Solo is an beautiful..I love itty bitty little things. I guess he was bigger than he would have been if he had been in a litter huh? I think my teacup is a bit bigger than he would have been but still so little. Take care.

He is teeny! He shouldn't get over 4 pounds when he is fullgrown. Mom and dad are teeny too. Dad is 4 pounds..if that..and mom was 3.8 pounds pregnant.

OMG!! Do you have a photo? That is so precious!! I had found a dog, years ago (she is gone now and was 17 when she passed away), but she was a lab/shep mix and gave birth to 12 pups, in our home, on Mother's Day. What a joy with those puppies.

This little angel is so adorable! I love puppies and love them when they start their antics! We had a tape of ours growing up until they were given homes. One day my daughter took it to someone's home and we never saw it again as she cannot remember whose home it was. I was so upset because they were too cute. Make sure you film this baby growing up!! LOL

Aww, that's so sweet Jenn. I love chihuahuas and miss my little Sassy who was a long hair. I wish you and little Uno all the best. And how sweet that Uno was almost a 4th of July baby. I hope your little Teacup is doing well as well with her little pup. Enjoy your new bundle of joy! Namaste-Anora

I love the long hairs too. They are beautiful. She is doing well with her pup but she is so attached to me that when I get home..I have to be with them all the time or she wants to leave him and follow me. They are like children with their attachments to their owners. Thanks for the response and take care.

Uno, I love it! And I'm so glad the mama was okay. I have a dog, Sherlock. He is 3/4 Chihuahua and 1/4 Corgi, and 100 percent adorable. He weighs seven pounds. Everyone assumes he is a puppy, but he two years old and fully grown. Thanks for sharing your good news!

Congratulations on the addition to your family....NEW MOMMY! The baby must be the tiniest little "fur coat person" too! You will be busy now! I truly think that is a great name...love it! That was the name I picked for the first Cockatiel that was born...and the second was Jesus (pronounced the Spanish way)! Are you raising "teacups"...or just wanted another little friend? Luv ya..Cheers!

Our one old momma cat has only one kitten too. Her daughter has only one. Genetics? They are quite small so I think it is just the size. The one is always healthy and what more can we ask?
