...peoples like your discussion and will answer?
So, i try many times to start a discussion just because i like the subject, i like the topic, and i want to find new opinions...but many times i failed.
And i try to start discussions who other people like it.
Maybe i am strange in discussions sometimes, but i really want to see others opinions, imagination, talent in writting.
But people want simple discussions, of course not all, but if i start a dicussion about what i think about Shakespeare...maybe 2, 3 peoples will answer, i am sure.
But if i start a discussion about extra money i will receive a lot of answers..
So, what is the best solution?
You start a discussion about what you like or a discussion about what you know that others like?

If you have a question to ask, then simply ask it. Normally, someone will see it, and respond to your question, regardless of what it is pertaining to.

I think what we are talking here isn´t only a matter of anybody answering, but the fact that some hot topics are much more discussed than others. That is true, even though audience isn´t all, people must have pride in what they do, and that is much easier when writing about something we like.

i post a discussion simply because i want others to comment and see their reaction. i dont take it as negative when i dont see a response to it. its just probably that what was nice and interesting to me, was boring and wasnt attractive to the others. simple as that.

Morning, i am a person who ask many questions, this is sure, and i like to see others reactions, and i have a lot of ideas.
I try as much as i can to start different discussions from all fields, but in special from day by day life, and i know that people like simple, diffferent questions.
I hope that people like my discussions.

The responds of one thread depend on the interest of the people who make comments on it. According to me- it is very hard to start one, because one thread to be interesting needs no duplicated posts here in mylot.

I start the dicussions because I want to know what others think, I want to see if they agree, they disagree or they have got something else to share; sometimes when I get more than I expected, I relaly can find soemthing else in a bunch of responses can explain what I was thinking before I post the discussions. Sometimes when I create some ong discussion, nobody will answer... sometimes when I just type couple sentences, then I receive more than I expected so I guess it depends... I like to post discussions that I'm interested in and would like to share views with everybody ^_^

I start a discussion because i like the topic, and i try to make other like too.
But is hard, maybe i am to new here, and i don t know yet what people want, but i try to do my best.
I have few discussions who seems that were intersting, people answer to me.
I ll try again.

Ask a simple and interesting question which ll make ppl to answer easily and not a bugging question which make ppl to ignore or make them lazy to answer...If u create simple and interesting topic u ll get better response....avoid bugging quesns...HAppy mylotting :)

I think we are really helping each other here on mylot, because following a discussion, I got inspired to write an article yesterday. My writers block syndrome completely disappeared. Usually when i surf on mylot, I prefer to add to on going discussions if it interests me, then I start a discussion of my own...it can be anything really, much like journaling your thoughts, i feel.

Yes I agree with you icesmile, there is no telling about tastes in discussion. I have seen it time again here on mylot. i start a discussion that I like because i am never sure what others like. it is safer to keep to topics that I like and feel confident about. I have seen some really thought provoking and interesting discussions receiving absolutely no answers...

It is very hard to start a discussion of interest to all users as there are so many duplications on here. I try to think of one that others will want to respond to, and so far I haven't done to bad, as all my discussions have had responses, some more than others, but I am so thankful for each and every one of them. I have taken the time to comment back as well, as it is our duty and right to do so. If people are going to take the time to respond, then we should at least take the time to comment back to them. That is the way I feel anyway. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Well, i think you should start a discussion about what you like. That is because when you write something so that others like, but you don´t, firstly you won´t be dedicated in that task, and probably, unless you are a extraordinary writer, the writing will bemediocre, because you wrote about something you didn´t really cared or liked. That is how i see things, don´t you people agree??

I will start a discussion whenever I have some words to say.Maybe I am interested in the topic because I want to share my interests and happiness with others. Maybe I am confused with something;I need to see others' opionions~I think communication is one of the best way to solve the problem!
