My husband is going to have a business trip next month for 2 days... the more I think about it, the more I feel how lonely I will be.
I have been staying home all the time already, he coimes home after work every night, so I'm thinking what's even worse when he is on business trip...
When he is not home , I won't cook so cooking for myself won't be an option.
House is clean all the time, housework will be all done.
I have a dog, he will be the only company probably.
I just hope the internet connection won't die during those days so I could at least go on the internet and find something to do...
So, wives, what do you do when your husband goes on a business trip? Do you feel free without him or you will miss him?

My huisband is in the USMC and will be deploying for the second time next year. Since he is in the military I am now a stay at home mother/wife. It is really boring but everything in my house is always done and when my husband is home and wants to do something I do not have to worry about taking time off from my job anymore.
It is also nice to have some space apart so that you will miss wach other. You take advatage of what you have until it is gone and then you appreciate it so much more. Enjoy your time apart and enjoy your time together. You never know when it could be taken away.

Hello mermaidivy,
Beside going to work, my husband prefers to stay at home especially in his computer room. So, every time when he is out, maybe just for a few hours; I already missed him. I get used to have him at home and whenever he tells me that he needs to go out for awhile, I feel so lonely. I have a 2 and half years old son with me and he always make me busy all day, but in between my busyness, I still feel lonely without my husband. There were a few times that he left me home for a few days and I felt really bad, lonely and unhappy. But, before this I was living separately from him for almost a year due to visa matter. That was the most terrible moment that I do not want to experience anymore. Days and nights, I cried and cried. Uh! Thinking about it already made me want to cry!

When my husband is home I will cook dinner (most of the time) and we just hang out together. But when he is away I catch up with my reading, or I will go and visit with family that I do not normally see during the week. I also have dogs and they get extra attention when he is away because they miss him. I have also discovered that his short trips are a great time to take a bubble bath and pamper myself.
I always miss him, but I make the time I have alone good for me too.

Being without company whether at home or travelling or any other times as well could be boring. But that again differs from individual to individual. We can make a choice to not get bored with being lonely and make good use of the time one gets for oneself. It helps one to introspect and think and arrive at decisions on important issues in life.Solitude sometimes does provide great insights which would be helpful to us.

When I'm home alone I turn on classic rock music and clean my house
top to bottom, or until my back starts hurting lol
after is perfect I love to piddle. Move things around change
what ever strikes me. Then if I'm able I Love to go to thrift
stores and look for a treasure that I can put somewhere .

It's a good time to go out with friends and have fun. We girls need freedom sometimes but not the freedom when we're single. It's like a time for yourself only, like a time to refresh. And yes i will miss my husband when he's gone but it's a good thing to miss him for a day or so. It will make the relationship more exciting when he's back. And you can even give him a welcome surprise back home for doing a good job on work. Like bake a cake just for him, go out on a date or whatever that will make him relax.

Its really good for me if i become lonely after a long time. I can spend my time at my own wishes. reading books... doing office work at night... listening to music at its full volume... sleeping just after coming from office... making the room in huddle. But onething which i dont when i go bed at night ... I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..I feel..

I have never been alone in the house for more then a few hours but I know what I would do. I would read alot and do my scrapbooking. I would be able to leave it out and not have to put it away everyday! I would just enjoy the time alone. I would also work on the net.

at night, i used to read a lot.

I'm single now, and I live with my sister, my sister works even on weekend, so I feel lonely on weekend, and don't know what to do, I don't want to cook for myself, so I always go outside for dinner on weekend, and then I will watch TV, and have a noon sleep.

No company equates to loneliness. Your husband's temporary absence causes you irritation kinda. do not fret try to befriend loneliness. there is extra pleasure living lonely. You would have plenty of time you think and rethink and do and not do anything or everything.
I love loneliness. when there is no body in the house I make most of the loneliness. All cheers to it.

When I'm alone at home I go to the Internet, watch television and many times I cook because I like to cook without persons in my house without pressure of what time the food is done but I'll miss my family too but I do some work sometimes and other times I go out with my friends, well stay cool and don't suffer in this hard time for you
