Is the picture you posted up you, zearah?
What, I've never heard of people sleeping with their eyes opened. I keep my eyes shut and either breathe through my mouth or nose.

Well, there are people who sleep with their eyes fully opened or half opened.that will be scary to see for the first time.LOL!Speaking about the mouth,we all will open our mouth when we sleep very deeply. Most of you will not admit but little kids and old people can be seen sleeping like that.Cheers!

Sure,a open mouth is a good place for mosquitoes or house flies to have a visit and that is not welcome.Slightly turning them to their sides will solve this problem.I haven't seen anybody sleeping on their sides with this pose.Only people who face upwards sleeping come out with this eyes or mouth opening.Cheers!

I think that none of these are open when I sleep. I sleep with closed eyes and I support my mouth with my hand, it's just under my head or something so the mouth wouldn't fall open. But it is possible that sometimes my mouth would be open, in case I can't breath using my nose for example.

hi zearah!^^
this is such a funny discussion. yeah, i've seen some people sleep with their eyes half-open and you might just think that they're pretending to be asleep to fool you. ^^;; i don't have that habit thank goodness. lol but sometimes, i do sleep with my mouth open. i would sleep with my mouth closed and then i would wake up and find my mouth open.^^;; but those are times when i have clogged nose and colds. that's a valid excuse ain't it? lol i can't breath thru my nose so i have to breath thru my mouth.

I am sure my mouth is open when I was tired and in deep sleep. Why do you come up with this kind of discussion again?. hahahahaha you are the best Zearah! I think its part of sleeping actions which we are not aware but its funny to see someone open mouthed, while sleeping. Goodluck that no mosquitoes will try to enter their mouth. When I see my brother open mouthed when sleeping, I try to close it but he keeps on doing that I started to laugh.

The only part of me that is open when I sleep are my ears. :) They hear the slightest sounds, and then my eyes pop open and my brain wonders what the hell that is. Sometimes, my legs force my unwilling body off the bed and go investigating. That's how I caught the cats red-handed, trying to murder a field mouse the other day.
Cheers and happy Mylotting

Hello zearah,
I really do not want to imagine how I look like while sleeping. I don't know whether I sleep with open mouth or eyes or both Maybe I should ask my husband to take a candid photo of me while sleeping Maybe that will be the worst photo ever, in my collection

My eyes are open when i am tensed or if i had enough sleep in the afternoon. My mouth is open only if i have a severe cold and i am not able to breathe.I think my face would look funny when i was sleeping. The image you posted in the discussion made me laugh. My eyes open sometimes if there is a loud noise or if someone opens the bedroom door.

well, actually, my husband hasn't said anything and we've been married since 2002. however, the first person to come to mind with your post is my toddler. he has peering eyes and open mouth (sometimes) when he sleeps .

I have an aunt who sleeps with half of the eyes open. I used to doubt when I was a kid that the aunt is really sleeping or acts as if she is sleeping. I don't know how I sleep. I am sure that not with eyes open. When I was a kid, I used to spit a lot of white liquid during sleep. That liquid used to form designs on my pillow. So, I think I sleep with mouth open or I used to sleep with mouth open, it wil be funny to imagine that.

Hi!
I haven't seen how I look while sleeping.
But I was told that my mouth is open while I sleep. I guess you really tend to open your mouth while you sleep. It is very common since I believe it would help for you to breathe easier.

this is a very interesting question. i guess i have to say that most of the time none of them are open. i usually sleep with my mouth closed. however, if i were to choose one, i would say that my mouth would be open. having your eyes open is a little weird. they say that it is associated to some kind of sickness or illness. i can't just quit remember what but i think it was a pancreatic, brain or liver disease. not really sure which one. my point is that if you actually sleep with your eyes wide open, something must be wrong. it's not normal. as with your mouth open, well that sometimes happens. that's actually the reason why sometimes our pillows smells weird in the morning.
