Natural beauty sure is the winner. However, if you have eye problems and glasses are very uncomfortable, try using contact lenses. At first, I was afraid and I can't put the lenses properly in my eyes. After two weeks or so, I got used to it and it was really not that fussy.

I wear daily disposable contact lenses. I put them on using a small mirror to guide me in the morning and I throw them away before going to bed. When I get up in the night I wear my glasses.
I got contact lenses when I was 21 years old from an optician in Australia. On a trip around the world a traveler changes in one way or more it seems. I had two week disposable contact lenses then. It took me a week to get used to wearing my contact lenses. I had them on for 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours and built up slowly to wearing them all day. I put my contact lenses in a cleaning solution overnight. Now all I need are my contact lenses and a small mirror.
Contact lenses improve my appearance and glasses are not as comfortable. I wouldn't ever go for laser surgery. Eyes like to be moist and a contact lenses user can buy comfort solution if dryness is a problem.

Yes dryness is a big problem for contact users. I hope someone can invent a better kind ones. But I haven't tried about daily disposable ones. Are they better for eyes? Expensive?

Hello Butterfly007! Well, first, I think sometimes they can look bettter than glasses depending on where you are going or what kind of look you are trying to achieve. But, glasses can look appealing too. My husband says they can look sexy, like a sexy librarian type!lol.
I myself like them because they are low maintenance. I dont lose them or sit on them!Plus, they dont fall off.
I also wear different colors. That is always refreshing and a different look!
Once though, I had a bad experience with them. I bought a different kind and they were not the soft type that I am use to. These were hard lenses. I liked the color so much I decided to try them out. Well, I regret that deeply. I ended up scratching not one but both of my corneas!I ended up in the er and couldnt see right for a few days, boy was that painfull!
So, now I stick with the soft ones and I think I prefer them to my glasses!

I never wear contact lens because I dreaded the ritual of putting on and off of the lens and I am afraid that it will damaged my eyes. I read one article about contact lens that it is one of the major causes of cornea cancer in the world today, so I did not attempt to have one.

Yes ,i wear Baush & Lomb contact lenses.I am wearing them from at least seventeen years. I wear cosmetic colored lenses too.No they dont hurt .They just need a little maintainence and care. They need regular clensing and sterlising.I change them once in a year.If you rub your eyes or sleep while wearing lenses they will hurt and even cause infection.I dont prefer surgery .I am satisfied with my lenses. They dont make me look pretty but i think they help me get rid of ugly glasses.

Definetly i would go for a surgery and get my vision looking normal. I mean i wear glasses and also contact lens, but neither of them are comfortable. In glasses, i dont look that good, while lens are so irrirating...

Hi there Butterfly!
I don't wear contact lens anymore but I used to about a couple of years ago. My husband had two sets made for me as a gift. One was colored brown and the other was colored purple. I love them but the problem is that when I wear it for about three to four hours, my sight gets blurry like there is something in my eyes, caught in the contact lens and later on I learned that it was protein build up and when it happens, what I should do is to remove it again, dip it in the solution that came with it then wear it again. I find it really tasky so I decided not to wear it anymore in ordinary days when I will just be staying at home. I wasn't well oriented about the do's and the dont's of using contact lens so I didn't know that I should check from time to time if they're still soaked with the solution. I didn't check for a couple of days and I saw that they were all dried up and I can't wear it anymore. After that, I went back to wearing eyeglasses.

Hi Butterfly, I wear contacts for two reasons - convenience and vanity. I started wearing contacts, because it was easier during games (my specs kept running down my nose). AND I looked like a granny with my specs.
I've been wearing contacts for many years now - and if you take good care of your lenses, they will not harm your eyes.

Yes, currently I'm wearing monthly disposable contact lens for short-sight and astigmatism. I considered myself a bit too old to have corrective surgery cos in maybe in less than 5 years time, I will have long-sight in my eyes. During then, I got to weat corrective glasses again.
