Hello My Lot User ,
I am not a happy camper after reading some pretty NASTY remarks that were made to someone I befriended on here. This poor man was asking a question about LOVE too ! someone respond with some racial remarks and telling him to go to another site that speaks his language and even called him a Fake and a phony as well . Yes my friend is very knowledgeable about numerology and was only answering question for some one else. I wish I copied pasted the remarks that were said to my friend . I sure hope My lot does something about this too . what do u all think about racial remarks ?

Racial remarks are never ok. I hope that someone reported the person that made the remarks. Now recently there was a complaint of racist remarks. It was a complete misunderstanding and the remarks were not racist at all. I haven't seen any racism on here but if you see it, you should report it.

the best thing to do when you find people like this is to ignore them. I would report it to mylot but i wouldn't say anything to them. that's what they want. they want to fight and argue. so don't give that power over you!! ignore the stupid people and they will go away

I am sorry to hear that, i admit no matter how honest they can be, sometimes it can be rude as well. but i don't think it's a good idea to post those words spoken by an idiot. a friend of mind did exactly that when he copy and paste it from youtube and that cause him to loose his entire account and his 40$ current earnings. don't do it. am just glad you have said your grievances. you can also just post the link.

Hi debster65,
Racism is not new today. Its happen everyday. You can easily heard about this in newspaper or t.v. This is real life. Most of us came here to make a friends and earn a few cents but there is always a bad apple. Just forget about this. Continue with your happy and blessed life.
Just like in our real life it is best to ignored it. The more you fight on this the more you get racism comment. You can't fight them because you don't like it but they love what they have done.
Mylot consist of people from around the world. Many of them are not well verse with English because English is not the native language and they hardly practice it in their place (that include me :)). So, it is normal to see there is a few broken English grammar or misspelling. The point is we know what they want to say.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day.

Hello Akuler ,
I a agree with you and to add to that , English is very hard to learn to too . A lot of the words are not spelled the way they are sounded . I am Grateful that it was taught to me as my native tongue . Please don't get me wrong I think its great when a person is bilingual . In fact I sure wish I could speak another language it would be nice to reach out to those who don't understand out language.
Even throw racism is in the world today it does not have to be on hear on my lot. If we all ignored what was said it would continue to go on and with other people thinking they can get away with this . I am sorry but it just doesn't sit well with me. I don't like racism never did & I will never get use to it either . How r we going to teach our younger generation that its just not acceptable today !I feel its up to us who know better to teach them all and what I mean by that is by example .

I wish that you have copied and paste his/her comments so I could say if he/she's serious about telling it. Anyway, if there's people occured/showed and commented like the one way he/she did, I would rather ignore as they're not the only people who joined the site, still we'll able to find real good friends around, ok.

I've seen many people on here who clearly aren't the most perfect of English speakers, but you can still make sense out of what they're saying. Why didn't that racist person just not respond to the discussion if he felt so strongly negative about it? Why would he go out of his way to hurt people when it was ignorant to go into a discussion if you were going to be pessimistic in the first place?
Racist remarks are uncalled for. Especially when your poor friend was trying to be friendly and start a topic on love. How coincidental that differences in people will bring out the true colors.

You Know I have tried to look outside the box . I would not want to be in the sloe's of a racist . I see and sense the angry that consumes them. Every show or Documentary I have seen on Skin Heads there angry is so strong that what ever comes out of there mouth is just plain stupidity ! So consumed with a closed mind that NO education of any kind will get in or threw to them. How frustrating it must be to just fuel yourself with such angry every moment of every day . I sure would not want all that rage. to much wasted energy .
Thank GOD I am not a racists nor are my children , Much PEACE & LUV , Debs

I agree with you...racists tend to be very angry people. I have no idea what inspires racism in people...it's disgusting to me and I can't understand the attraction between racism and intelligent people, whether they are white, black, brown, or pink.

I doubt if I would really be concerned about petty abuse directed at me, although I do not condone that sort of behaviour. It always amazes me when someone criticises another for their level of English when it is not their first language.
A person speaking English only is hardly qualified to criticise another who speaks more than his or her own language, and a person speaking several languages would not be likely to because they would appreciate how difficult it is.

Racial remarks are discrimination and should not be tolerated. All of eyes are equal in the eyes of God whatever is your nationality or religion. Respect begets respect. If we like to live in peace, let us give the proper respect and in return will be respected. If if in any point you are really comes out to the limited of your maximum patience. You got to fight for your rights to be fair, because keeping silence means you tolerate his bad remarks.

I don't think that we should do any racial remarks abotu some one that is in mylot trying to meet nice people and anywere els. I don't do it and I would not like it if someone made a racial remark about me or others we are all human and there might be diferent belifes but those not make one person better than others. Happy mylotting.

Some people just never learn how to have respect for another and how they live their lives, they also have no sense of common decency! I have only been a part of MyLot for under 2 weeks and have already been belittled for being an American as well as been told I need mental help and belittled because I said that you should respect those who are homosexuals! You can report the person who made the racist comments, but it is no guarntee that they will think he was offensive enough for soemthing to happen. Sadly people are able to be ignorant, racist, or discriminitory against anyone they want online!

at no piont or in any way is it proper for any one to use a racial comment on any body,it is not acepted in the international community, but i think who ever has use that on you is not matured or informed to know the implecations, but what ever it may be i just want to appeal with you that a situation involving many poeple you are only limited to your self and can not determine the behaviour of others,so just take it ligthly, he will soon get informed and make it up to you.

and we all wonder why the world isn't a better place?
RACISM exists....that's why.
We're all made in the image & likeness of God......so you are we to hurl racial comments at anyone.
it's NOT that hard to respect people's opinions despite their race, gender or creed....if we try hard enough to 'walk in the other person's shoes.

I would try very hard to ignore it. I think that it is silly to go there and even more silly to address someone who has gone to that level. Some people are just so ready to jump and act like imature morons. It is really sad. This is a nice place and at some point I am just afraid someone is going to ruin it.

Most probably nothing. My religion teaches me that skin colour does not count in the eyes of God. Faith in God is more important.
If we believe that present day human beings have the same ancestors, Adam and Eve, then there is no reason why skin colour should be used to look down upon other people. If we believe that we descended from the same monkeys, the same argument applies.
When it comes to nit picking, I too can be a racist. But we are not perfect, so we have to accept each other weaknesses and strengths. If necessary, we try to learn from the others in order to strengthen ourselves. As for the strong, they should try to help the weak. After all. we are living on the same planet.

i would just ignore them along with their comments. it always works if you just ignore them. they are the ones who end up being slapped in their face and you keep things going your way. getting angry will just give you a headache so it is better to let it go. however i think it is so sad that there are still people out there that spend their time finding differences between people rather than doing something smart and useful.

If someone makes a racial remark to me from here I would just brush it off and be like whatever. Because obviously that person is ignorant in the first place and for them to say something like that they obviously have some growing up to do. Sometimes racial remarks can be hurtful and I have faced racism a lot of times, but sometimes I don't let it get to me, other times I mean it is hurtful. But not everyone is going to respond like that and it truely angers me when someone has made a racist comment about that person especially when they are told they need to go back where they came from, like the country or whatever or go to another site that speaks their language. That shouldn't have even been mentioned to him and if they couldn't understand them then they shouldn't have responded to their post.

Oh dear, why would anyone want to do that? Come on people, myLotters are a nice community of people, dont jeopardise our reputation by doing such nasty thing! Please tell your friend to just ignore it, it's not worth to get angry over such uncalled for response. To that particular person, we are all humans of flesh and skin, dont go colouring them please.
