This is a shot of one of my cucmber plants. This year I decided to have them climb as opposed to growing flat on the ground. They seem to be doing great as well. Do you grow cucmbers as a climbing plant or flat on the ground? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Your cucumbers look so good. I wish I had room to plant them. Most of the people that have cucumber plants here where I live just let them grow on the ground.

They take a lot of space lying on the ground. So I wanted to try having them climb at least once and I love the space saving so fgar this way. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

You will have us all ready for a nice big salad seeing all the great veggies. It is really nice and looks like you did a great job. My dad grows them as the climbing plants. I did not grow any this year. Appreciate you sharing the pictures too!

You are welcomed as well. I love taking and sharing my photos here all the time. I give a lot of my fruits and veggies to friends, neighbors, and my wifes work as well each and every year. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Showoff! My cukes this year seem to be growing in slo-mo, keeping pace with the carrots. Beans are doing good, though. I just have a small plot so I have them growing up an obelisk... er... if they ever get growing. I had many cukes last summer from one or two plants growing this way.

When I used to grow cukes, I would have them climb the lattice to keep them clean. Don't know why I stopped growing them. Maybe I'll make room for them next spring.

Oh my goodness! Your cucumbers look so good! Ours didn't do well at all this year. It rained so much that we had a late start getting our garden out then when we got it planted it just rained and rained and rained. Our tomatoes didn't turn out either..I'm so disappointed in our garden this year.
