Since I had my beautifull baby boy. Being a new mom has been so triumphant and scary all at once. I'm so astonished at how fast he has already grown. It seems like yesterday that i was in the hospital having him and now he is already six months old. Man where does the time go. But anyway for me being a new mother and a new parent all together i decided that every three months i would get pictures taken. They turned out so good but for some reason mylot is having a hard time loading them it keeps saying there was an unexpected error. Well what do you do to capture those moments that you want to have forever. I know there is the obvious option of taking pictures but is there something else you do to keep those precious moments alive?

Hello stardustw83,
Congratulations for being a mother! That is a very big achievement for a woman. I have a 2 and half years old active and bubbly boy and I can still feel the pain when I gave birth to him and the joyful moment that I saw him for the very first time. I don't think it can be erased from my mind forever. I enjoy being a mother and he is such a precious gift that God gives to me. Looking at him everyday, makes me want to be a better person and whenever I see him sleeping or he is not around; just even a minute, will make me missing him so much! I take his photo every month from the day he was born till now and when I look at them, well time passes really fast. I remember the details of each and every moment while in labor and here he is, almost three years old this coming September!

Hello metschica25,
Are you due to give birth soon? Aha...don't worry too much! I am not trying to scare you I was afraid many months before the due date but when it came finally, it wasn't that hard! Once you hear your baby cries and see him/her right in front of you, all the pain (no matter how painful it would be...) will go like you never had it before! Take care!

Congratulations. My boy is already one year old now but everyday is an adventure. Instead of taking his pictures every 3 months, we have pictures of him of almost everyday for the past one year. Besides printing out them out, I have also started a blog to document our journey and adventure with him. You can visit me at http://babynme2008.blogspot.com.

I too have a abby that is 5 months and 3 weeks old. I know how tims has passed by. You must be proud of see your baby which is the result of your harwork. I guess, he may be sitting or trying to sit. You could frame a photo and hang it in your drawing room. It would keep memories alive forever.

Congratulations on being a new mom. I had my 3rd baby 3 months ago and I swear she is ready to sit on her own. Where did the time went?
I took lots of pictures and videos with my children. My oldest is 5, middle is 2 and the youngest is just 3 months. I took out the baby pictures of my 2 and it is amazing their similarities with my youngest. I also have a planner where I just jot down the highlights of the day on what the baby is doing. For example today, when I was bathing my youngest, she wanted to get up and I was amazed she might not stay on her baby tub longer.
I had started a journal for my oldest, which I will give it to her someday. It is like my diary but all about her. I will do one of each of my children.
By doing this journal, I can keep those precious moments alive. It is us mothers who will treasure the memories the most because we are the one who bring out to the wold our precious ones.

Hey!
Time always does go by so fast, but it is the best time in the world.
Keeping a journal is a really good idea . I plan on doing that and sharing with my child once they are older. I also like scrapbooks .

Yes!Children grow so fast and time seems flying.Up to four months it is so easy to bring them up and once they start crawling we have to be very careful and they want to explore anything on the ground and they like to roam around the full house. Then when they start walking it is another stage where we should keep things far from their reach.Until they start going to school,it is a tough task to rear them at home.Well,Our parents brought us like that and we have to remember them at this moment. For records I use to take photos at special occassions alone and I take some snaps in my cell phone camera time to time. When they go to school,we have yet another record in the form of identity cards.Cheers!

Well i wouldn't keep putting it off, because if you continue to do so you'll end up never doing it and regretting it, right now i have a baby book in which im placing pictures and notes for my son. How ever im going to start a scrap book for him as well. I'm thinking of doing one for each year of life so that way he has a complete collection.

Congratulations!
You're gonna find that time just keeps flying by. Mine are 10, 12 & 14 this year. It just blows my mind.
Pictures are a big part of my family. I get tons of pictures each month trying to capture them most when they aren't looking. I love the spontaneous shots of my kids.
I scrapbook everything. I've got a major scrapbook going that encompasses everything from my 16th b'day up until today.
I've explained to my kids that the book is for my bookshelf. That way in the (hopefully far) future - when they bring me grandkids; I can sit with the grandchild on my lap and show them what life was like for their mom/dad growing up.
My digital camera also takes short video clips. I store them up until my memory card is full and then get them transfered to disc. They are put away now but someday I'll bring them all up and the kids and I will go through them and see all the changes.

Wow, i just started a discussion with the same theme yesterday. Glad to know there's another Mom out there who's thinking the same! . You're right, I feel like time just went past through me like a flash! Wasn't it just yesterday when I held him in my arms so red, so tiny, so dainty? Now, he's so smooth, so full of energy, bouncing, rolling and jumping! . I do take pictures of my baby almost everyday (it's addictive, lol) and upload them on my baby blog site or even here in mylot (maybe your file is too big that's why you encounter upload problems, try editing the photo and decrease its file size). You see, I don't just take pictures, I maintain a blog for my baby (http://littlenicholas.com). I print the posts every month so I have a hard copy and file them on his baby book so it will look like his diary. Cool idea right?

Hi stardust. Congratulations on being a new mom .
I am not a mother as yet but Id like to share wit you one other way in which my sister kept those precious moments alive. She kept a journal where she wrote to the child teling hin the date, stuff that he did on that day or sometime before. She even wrote to him about how she felt during pregnancy and some of the stuff she went through. how she felt when he finally entered the world and she saw him for the first time.
It realy makes for a great read which reminds me i need to ask her if she has shown it to him as yet. He is now seven years old and is at the top of his class. I hope you enjoy every moment and capture all the memories you can.

Wow - I understand the feeling! Time flies by so quickly! One minute they are this beautiful little infant of a child and suddenly they are getting into everything and so curious about the world! Congratulations on your beautiful blessing! I have three little ones, and they are all so different and each a joy! Next comes the fun part of planning birthday parties and all that stuff! Well I am a very creative person so I do love keeping albums, scrapbooks, make dvd's on the computer incorporating photos and videos. I would definately suggest getting your own digital camera if you don't already have one. professional pictures are very nice, but it's the little times you take snapshots in your own home or when you are out and about ... like special little facial expressions or the first time your baby does something new! I wish you the best in this new adventure and if you ever need birth announcements or birthday invitations feel free to visit my site: www.creativeinspirations4u.webs.com - this is my business and I custom create these for super affordable pricing and excellent quality! It allows me to stay at home with my three kids and be a mom first! Take care!

Children grew up so fast, the change may be physically or mentally, but the change is constant. The baby's physical body changes on a minute by minute, day by day, month by month, year by year basis. You can take pictures of your baby every month. And collect them in a album and gift it to your child when he grows up. It'll be so happy for the child to see his childhood sweet memories in the form of pictures.
