Does Anyone reach payout every month here? If so how?

I've been a member of Mylot for a few years now and have a couple of active referrals but I quite rarely make payout. I use Mylot because I like the community and variety of discussions. I understand some people are making payout every month though and I wanted to know just how they are doing it. I find it hard to earn more than 10 cents a day, in fact I rarely make more, this is probably because I don't start many discussions I just respond to other peoples.
So those of you who do make payout regularly here how do you do it? Do you set yourselves goals of starting X amounts of discussions every day? How do you come up with fresh good ideas for discussions without just spamming? And how can you guarantee people will respond to your discussions in big enough numbers for you to make a large amount? I've noticed if you post a discussion about Mylot itself you tend to get a lot of responses as it's one thing we all have in common, we are all members of Mylot, but that's the best tip I have. I want to start getting paid more often by sites like this so anything anyone can share that might improve my earnings would be helpful.

Hi Nancy,
I don't remember what was the payment policy here in mylot, but just recently I reached payout because of the tasks I did which helped me boost my earnings. After that I received payment about two or three weeks later, that was awesome, when you get money you don't expect.

I haven't done many tasks yet as the ones I looked at seemed to be low paid for what I had to do, but I'll take another look as I'm sure they are always changing.

If you have your payout set $10 then whenever you've made $10 by the date at the bottom of the earnings page I'm afraid. Starting discussions that get a lot of responses is the best way to earn here I think, but it's hard to think of good ones without just spamming, and people avoid spammy discussions like the plague here.

lately it has been taking me about three months to make payout these days because i just dont seem to have that much time to come on here.
as for starting new discussions, read, read, read and listen to talk radio. thats where i get a lot of my ideas.

I'm like you... don't start many discussions, just respond to others', and have no active referrals. I don't do the tasks, either, which I gather helps some people earn the "big bucks". Have you tried doing those?

I don't blame you. I don't want to join a lot of sites, either. Sure do like myLot though.

when i was addicted to mylot back then i used to earn around $15 to $18 a month with a couple of active referrals. but now i'm just laid back and enjoying my stay here and not really minding the numbers anymore. anyways, to answer your question, i think i start more discussions back then than i do answer other people's questions. anything interesting that comes to mind i write in a piece of paper so that i can post it as a discussion when i later log in here, and i think that strategy worked. also, i found that the more you comment on other people's post on your discussions, the more they tend to comment back, which i think makes your earnings higher. anyway, that's just my two cents. i'm not trying to figure out the algorithm here, just based on my experiences with myLot so far.
anyway, good luck on your goal and i sure hope you reach payout every month!

I do look at the discussions of people who have responded to mine, It's a good way of finding something to respond to when you are having trouble. I also started writing down things that occurred to me late at night while trying to sleep to post later as discussions.

i have very few discussions started since i became a member here. most of what i do is respond to users discussions. i did reach payout monthly and got paid monthly of course.
if you start a discussion comment on the responses too, since that is what will make us earn there, we dont earn from the responses we get for our discussions but from the comments we make on the responses posted.
if you will check my discussions, its really few, i find it hard to think of what to discuss. so what i do is post responses and i still reach payout.
sometimes i do task when i feel like it, but most of the time what i do is just post on responses here.

I don't think you do earn from comments but it still helps if you do comment on your discussions as it makes it go back to the top of the discussions my friends started list.

You can earn payout every month and never start a discussion. This one is a nice long discussion, which means it is worth more. Make all of your contributions lengthy, and you will do fine.In the past, before I did any tasks, I used to set a goal of twenty five good, lengthy posts per day. That would earn me 34 cents or thereabouts, and in turn would net ten dollars in the month. Tasks help you get there, if you like them.

I mostly just reply to other people's discussions, too, but you are right that starting your own, if you have a loyal following would probably generate more earnings. I have made payout several months in a row in the past, but truly as much as I enjoy it I just don't have time to start many discussions these days. Too much other stuff to do. But I never run out of ideas. I don't know if my ideas are fresh or good, but they are conversational. I just write down what I would say if I were talking across the kitchen table to a friend. I envy you the active referrals as none of mine is, not one!

I have quite a few referrals who have hardly posted at all but there's at least one who still posts regularly. I'm trying to put more time into things that pay me on the internet so I hopefully will get to reach payout a couple of months in a row at least.

I too want to start getting paid more by sites like this, I have been a member of mylot for more than 6 months now and i have never not once made pay out. however currently my earnings is at $9.78 (excluding todays earnings) and I am well on my way to my first payout. I am much excited for I've never been paid before. And I just like you joined mylot for the community here is rather pleasant and enjoyable. Plus i take simple pleasure in voicing my opinions and helping people if they need help. Though I don't make the money I am having fun making new friends. and if you do get the answers on how to make more on mylot, please do share it with the rest of your fellow mylotters (ME!!!)

It took me a long time to reach payout initially but I set it to $25 as once you convert $10 to pounds it's not so great. But I sick of waiting so changed it to $10. The payout has already been this month as I got paid but you'll definitely make it for next month.

During the week, I can make usually 40 and sometimes 60 cents a day but I do not earn on weekends. I have not made payout each month either but have made 75 dollars since last October. I do try to answer every one who respponds to my posts. I am not good at posting - just post about everyday things that happen in my life. I think that becaue I am loyal to 98% of my friend's discussions then they tend to respond to most of mine. So it is reciprocal. It is not easy to earn money. Make sure that you respond using about 8 lines of text - some peole say five lines but you earn more with 8 lines oif text. Set yourself a target of earning 35 cents a day and try to keep to it and you will make payout. Remember that loyalty will earn you responses. Build up your list of friends and you will improve your earnings

I hadn't heard about the 8 lines of text thing though I always try to make my responses quite long, I'll have to try it and see.

Hello Nancy,
I have been here for around six months now and I have made payout just once, that too was about two months ago. I am not crazy about posting here and was out of touch for about two months. I like to interact with people here and read their views. I am lazy when it comes to starting discussions and I am not too much into responding either. But yeah, the tasks do surely help me reach the payout. I hope to reach a payout by the end of this month, as I've become somewhat regular.

I'm going to pay more attention to the tasks as they will help me to make payout more often by the looks of it.

I think it is in the quality of your posts, and how long they are. If they are just little one or two liners, you aren't going to get paid as much. I started out at mylot just to chat with other people about common interests, but then, I had been working on this other site, and recieved a payout of $20.13 in about a week. I was really excited about it, so I posted my paypal invoice in a discussion...I ended up getting a lot of referrals for my site. So, in my excitment of actually making money online (since I am on bedrest right now and can't work), I have been doing tasks and using mylot to generate more referrals. In the last 24 hours, I have gotten 15 referrals for one of my sites. So that is pretty exciting. Payout at mylot isn't a whole lot, and it seems to take a while, so I just use it to generate for my other sites, and when I do get a payout it will be like a bonus!

I need to work more on getting referrals I haven't had any new ones for a long time, and I am now a member of a couple of other ptp sites that pay more per post than here. Though they are all still small by the time they get big the earnings on those sites will probably drop too.

You need to write more when you respond to a discussion, make sure all your replies and discussions you start are at least 4 or 5 lines long. That's the main mistake people make at first posting here they don't write enough.

I just joined here yesterday and I have been credited 2 cents for signing up on tasks. I think, we can earn better here by doing such tasks. It's easy and I have been credited in just few minutes.

I rarely make payout every month, but like you I like taking part in the discussions. I usually respond to other people's discussions and rarely create a discussion myself. I don't set up any specific goals, but just respond to discussions where I think I can add some value. On rare occasion an idea may occur to me about a topic to start a discussion about, and then I will start one. I have enrolled quite a lot of referrals, but very few become active. I wonder whether these people are really interested in making money on line and why they bother signing up in the first place. But such is life.. . - Derek

I think some people expect to make a fortune and feel ripped off when they realise they'll only make a few cents a day. But what do they expect, how could a site like this afford to pay everyone more than 1 cent a post?

Hands duct taped to the keyboard?
Seriously, I was making payout every month, but the earnings seem to have gone down a bit. Now I make it more like every two to three months. You do it by writing a lot of discussions and responding to a lot of discussions. Longer discussions and responses (to a point) seem to do better. Visit other people's discussions and they will visit yours and that will help. Get yourself a few active referrals. That will help too!

I remember when you used to earn 50% of your referrals earnings, those were the days. I've heard a lot of people saying the earnings seem to be going down here though I haven't really noticed. You don't seem to earn as much for responses to discussions you've started I've noticed.

I have only been paid by mylot for June and now I will get payout for this month as well. I hope to get it every month, and I know I can do it as it takes lots of effort on my part. I don't do tasks, as I only respond to discussions and once in awhile I do start my own discussion when the mood strikes me that is. Mylot does make it easy to want to get payout every month, as it is such a great site. I am so happy I found mylot and I am staying here for as long as I can. I just love it here. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

That's the only answer really isn't it to put in a lot of effort and post lots, sometimes I really just don't feel like it though or I can't find a discussion I want to reply to etc.

YOu must write about 8 lines when responding to discussions. Build up your list of friendships and answer all your frineds posts and you will see anincrease in your earnings. It takes several months to build up friendships with people. don't give up. when people respond to your discussions then ask them to be your frined and be loyal to them. Take care
