Are you the first person to wake up in your house every morning?

No matter how late I go to bed, I'm always the first person to wake up every morning. Usually my cats wake me up early, wanting food or entertainment. Today the new kitten woke me up complaining about her litter box and food. She was in my bedroom and unable to get out to get food. Once she had food she settled down for a nap. Unfortunately, it was too late to go back to sleep, as I'd already had my cup of morning tea. Anyway, I like being the first to wake up, cause it gives me so much extra time for working online or house work or chores or just watching movies online. It's nice to have a minute to myself. Are you the first person to wake up in the morning?

Wish I could be the last to wake up but then my daughter would simply be wondering around the house by herself trying to boot up my computer to run her cartoons.

Sadly not though last week I kept waking up at 9am on the dot which is unusual for me, I have insomnia you see so when I do sleep I stay asleep for along time. I'd like to get up earlier as it gives me time to post on all my ptp sites, and because of the time zones early in the morning here the Americans aren't up yet so the sites are much faster. My cats don't wake me but as soon as they notice I'm awake they don't leave me alone until I get up and fill the food bowl lol.

Awww! You're a lucky ducky to have cooperative cats. I don't want to leave the kitten outside my room most of the night cause she might get in a fight with the bigger cats. She is a fluffball and thinks she is a giant! She flattens her ears back and hisses at every other cat. I have four cats. The kitten has been in the house for two days and thinks she owns the place! At least she is people friendly. Think she likes spending more time around us, than her own kind!

No acutally my roomate is the one who gets up first. He makes coffee fror everybody which is sweet of him to do. I like to drink the coffee and wake up slowly with my breakfast including the coffee that I am really happy with. It is a nice way to start the day.

No usually my mom is the first person to wake up in my house because she usually leaves for work around six or seven in the morning. She has to do a lot of driving so she tries to leave earlier so she's not gone all day. My girlfriend also wakes up early to sometimes depending on when she has to go to work because sometimes she has to open at six thirty. Soon I might be the earliest to wake up because I might have to be at work at four thirty or four forty five in the morning.

I am not the first person to wake up in my house. My dad is always up before me. He is a weird sleeper, so he is always up before me, but then again he is always in bed before me as well. so I guess it probably is around the same sleep schedule.

There are three of us living together. Two of my adult grandkids ages 22 and 20. I'm always the first one up every morning starting at 4:00 I have to get up and go to the bathroom and then it is every hour on he hour until 6:00 then I just get up and stay up because It would be redundant to try to go back to sleep after that. I like you it doesn't matter how late I go to bed and feel lucky if I sleep until 5:00. I wish I could sleep until at least 7:00. The granddaughter get up at 8:00 to get ready for work and the grandson depends on when he has to go to work.

I keep a fan on to drown out any noises. It's having to go to the bathroom that get's me up so many times.

Yep! I hear you. Same here. Any little thing wakes me up. I have to darken the windows with drapes or blankets in the middle of summer to get a little extra sleep on Saturdays or else first light wakes me up. It's better here in this house cause the sun doesn't come right through the window. But in our other house, the bedroom was situated so that the sun rose directly into the bedroom window. It was like living on the sun! So bright in the mornings. Many mornings, I woke up with burning eyes until I learned to darken the windows. Some days I use ear plugs and that drowns out cat/car noises that would otherwise wake me up. Thanks for your response. Nice talkign to you.

Most of the time I am. The only time that I am not is when my husband is on day shift. He has to be at work for 6am so I'm still in bed. I'm sure next year I will be waking up pretty early trying to get my daughter ready for school. I am so not ready for it.

Usually I am the last person to get out of bed I wake up a lot during the course of a night with my bad back so, most days, I sleep later than Shelly and (sometimes) Esmeralda, although Esme has been the last one to go to bed lately so I sometimes get up before her It is nice when you have some time to yourself though, I agree. Usually once I am on the computer the girls go elsewhere so I can read my emails in peace

Getting a little time alone on the computer always makes my day. Without at least a few minutes online, I don't feel normal.

i am the first person that wakes up here everyday. because i have to prepare things for my kids before they go to school and have to wake them up too so they will not be late. sometimes i dont go to sleep at all in the evening and would stay awake till i have finished fixing my kids breakfast and packed lunch for school. and when they are gone, that's the time i go to sleep.

I am always the last to wake up in the morning. Since I run a pub, my night is more alive and I'll only sleep in the wee hours of the morning. I seldom meet breakfast but it will always be brunch. I try to reschedule my sleeping time to catch the early worms but I will end up drowsy the whole day. So to complete my sleeping hours I wake up in mid morning when everyone else has settled for their day's activities.

I am the last one to wake up in my house. I always wake up at 8-9am in the weekdays, or wake up at 11am during the weekend. So normally I never have breakfast. I know it is not good, but I can not control it.

Just as well. I've heard that having fruit for breakfast just sets you up for low blood sugar and sweets cravings in the afternoon. Better to start your first meal with a good protein.

nope...I am however, the last person to go to bed at night. And as soon as my man gets up at 5:30 every morning, he is nice enough to wake me up so he has some company before he leaves for work at 6:15. I don't fall asleep until midnight, one am because I am at that stage in my pregnancy where my legs jerk around, and I can't fall asleep. Its miserable. But, I do love our time in the morning, him drinking coffee and me grumbling that its to early :-)

Awww! That's love for ya! I remember that stage of pregnancy. Though I don't think I had restless legs, but I was so horribly bent over when I got out of bed cause my hips would go out of alignment every time I laid down. I was in such constant pain from the baby poking me with her big toe in the back rib. It was awful. Know what you mean about waking up early and not being able to go back to sleep. I have days like that. Sometimes, I get a nap though. It's a nice thing to look forward to.
