can, will you lock in and not go out very much? Buy alot of hand sanitizer and Lysol? What are your plans for managing through the winter they say we should have two weeks of supplies ready and how seriously are you taking this?

"We can't actually be certain, but there likely will be a reemergence," said Dr. Len Horovitz, a pulmonary specialist with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. "We're seeing this virus at a time that is usually the end of the flu season, so you would expect, because the flu virus is hardier in cold weather, that there will probably be a return."

I wash my hands a lot all year round. I am a clean freak and I show my girls how to always wash their hands too. I am rarely, if ever, sick. I think this is because I take good care of myself with supplements and products I use to curb the MS symptoms I have.

Well I'll be ready.......and I imagine that they will have a vaccine out pretty soon so I wonder if it will really get that bad.....all things aside I could make it for two weeks if I had to....and I wash my hands frequently anyway and carry a sanitizer with me most of the time....

Those are really great tips. The hand sanitizer is just great and I really like the scents now too. Let's hope that ut dosen't become a problem this winter and somehow it burns itself out.

For me it will be business as usual. I will wash my hands often, eat my fruits and veggies and try to exercise and get plenty of sleep. I will get a flu shot, maybe the pneumonia shot as well. I will go to work as usual, and take great care of my clients.

It would be great if everyone does wash their hands. If people just kept that up, it will reduce the cases, right? Appreciate the response.

Hi there!
Yes, you are right, we should take all precautions so that we should not get infected by swine flue. Here in India, its spread is limited and those who are returning from foreign countries are carrying the same with them. The treatment and medicine for this flue are adequately available here in India. Therefore, there is no need to panic here.

I can't help think this is all needless worry over nothing. I happen to be in the area of NY where the Swine Flu hit the most, and within a few blocks of me believe it or not and didn't get paranoid or take extra precautions. I haven't had the flu since I was eleven years old (am now 53) and have never gotten a flu shot. My mother never had a flu shot save twice....and guess what? The two times she got a flu shot she got the flu...figure that one out

Hi eaforeman, I just opened your link about this tailing off in summer and reappearing in winter. Well yesterday the temp was 40 degrees C with high humidity and I was suprised to learn that there were three cases of swine flu at the nearest hospital. I was visiting a friend there and there was no mention of this but apparently just 2 days earlier everyone was wearing masks. I hadn't realised it had come so close and at the wrong time of year.

It is really strange how these virus's can mutate and become airborn. I hope it is gone before winter and not the problem that they are saying it can be. Appreciate the response.
