Hey, all mylot friends, when i wrote down this question i felt so a little bit lost for my six-day week working rule.
i am working in a foreign company, they take six-day week, and its shift working..
we have day shift, middle shift, and night shift..
night shift alway work till 9:30pm..
its really not convenient to use this kind of work shift..bcz u will never know when you will off..
the mmost thing is..we never have any rest in weekend,,bcz weekend is our busiest day...
poor me..i can never get any chance to go outside with my friends during weekend..
but one good thing is..we only need to work 6hour per day..
how about u? do u work 6day week or 5day week?
thanks for reading
hv a nice day

well i work everyday with no rest..because i treated the place where i work as my home already...i love my work so much...i am a devotee to my work...but even though i'm so workaholic i still have time to attend church service which is the most important thing to do..and is required for me...i don't want to lose my church so i prioritize it more than other..

Wow! You must be really a work-a-holic. Just remember that - "Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will." Stay in touch.

when i got my first job in a manufacturing company, i only have 1 day off. that means that i work for 6 days a week. it was hard actually cause it was a shifting schedule. my body at first can't keep up with the night shift. i got sleep debt most of the time.
then when i got my second job as a call center agent in a financial institution, i have 2 days off. our schedule is during banking hours which is normally 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening.
and on my third job, again it was a two days off and almost the same schedule as with my 2nd job. 9 o'clock to 4 in the afternoon.

as a business woman i need to work 7 days a week. 14 hours a day just to earn more money. but its worth it. but of course if i get a chance i take an off and go somewhere and bonding with some friends. its so tiring but its ok with me as long as i can earn money.

Aww that's too bad. That must get really exhausting.
Well, I am currently working from home and have all the time in the world.Ha! So life is good!
But prior to this when I was working as an engineer in an MNC, it was a 5 day week ( officially) and the work load depended on the project.Sometimes, it would be light.
But I was also on a project where I have worked 7 days a week for almost 2 months!
Can you imagine how pathetic life would be then?
And the working hours were horrible too. I would be in office by 9.00am and get home only by 8.00-8.30pm
Things are ok now.

I can understand how you feel because I have worked in a six day week company before. I was in the hotel industry in a hill resort. What is worse is that I have to work for 24 days straight and then get to go for a 4 day off. In other words, there is no Saturday or Sunday. It's just workday and offday. I had that for 2.5 years and it was tough. When others are free, I'll be busy working. When I'm free, others will be busy working. And you are lucky to work only 6 hours a day. Our shift was still 8 hours then.

hello babyorchid,
I am on shifting too but with different schedule. Our night shift starts from 11pm to 7am, afternoon shift 3pm to 11pm and the morning shift is 7am till 3pm. During my afternoon and night shift I have 6 working days with 8 hrs work. But if I'm on morning shift I work 5 days only but need to work an hour longer. This way, I can have my two rest days.
Shifting for me is better than day shift - day shift is 8am to 5:30pm. For I can do a lot of things especially when I'm on night shift. You need not to file for leave incase I need to go to the bank and other important matters that need to be done. Besides I have night shift differentials that I can not compensate during my day shift.

Only 6 hours! Wow! That's too short. We can't accomplish anything here if we only work 6 hours per shift. You must be continuously working to accomplish something for the day. No time for break, I guess.

I work at home, having lost my job as farm manager. I am now trying to make some money on the internet and it is not an easy thing to do. There are a lot of things to read and find out about. I would have to say that I work 7 days a week and I keep very long hours. I do hope that some money will start coming soon.

Hi mate, if anyone wants ways to earn on the internet you can email me at mbkimberley@hotmail.com . i have some easy ways to earn cash and some slightly longer ways too. Currently i work 2 hours a day on the internet, i make roughly £250 a month from this. But i can give the easist and quickest ways to earn. For example a survey site which you log into each day, complete surveys (roughly 60seconds a day) and that alone will earn £80 approx. per day.
I started this 2 years ago and spent a lot of time finding the enuine sites and ones that pay well and are worth the time.

hi! officially, as stated in my employment contract, i work 5 days in a week. so thats monday to friday... then i have saturday and sunday as my rest days.. like the most of the employees in my country (i guesss). however, my actual job function and the nature of what i am doing is that i am on-call basis.. meaning, even if during evenings, or late evenings, early morning, and basically anytime, at anytime and at any day, i should always be available. that's how it is. so i work mondays to
fridays but including saturday and sundays too! its a case to case basis thing. its tiring but i get used to it already.. cheers! :)

Before I work 7 days a week with no day off at all sometimes the shift is 12 hours with overtime. The work is very tiring and I lost so much weight because my sleep is affected when I'm in a night shift. I don't want to work anymore in that kind of work because my health is affected. I can work in daytime but not in night shift I want to work in call center but I can't work in the night shift. I had a problem in sleeping when I'm too tired I can't sleep during the day.

wow I am not sure that I could cope with working like that- would probably screw up my body clock completely. I only work during the week (I get every weekend off) and it is usually 9 to 5, but sometimes I do start earlier or leave later depending on the circumstances of the day.

Actually, Online Working and Earning is the Only Job I do, So I work Everyday means fully 7 days a week, But I would Surely agree with it that working from home gives quite relaxed environment then working in Office with a Official time period and Limit.
Keep Smiling and Happy myLotting...
