There are lots of them, but I guess my choices would be MJ's "Have you seen my childhood" as we all know that he did not enjoy his life as a child =( Just by listening to the song you can feel all the emotions he's into, and he even said that it was one of the songs wherein he can personally relate into.. The song not only about his painful experiences as a child, but it also says something about his personality and how it has been affected by his childhood. Try listening to the song so you can feel the emotions through the acoustics.. =D
Another is Martina McBride's "Concrete Angel". The song is all about an abused young girl =( just thinking about the song makes me cry.. Try searching for other Martina McBride songs most of them are sad songs =(

There are a lot of sad songs and I know I won't be able to remember them all!
1. She Thinks His Name Was John by Reba McEntire
2. Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton
3. Man of the World by Fleetwood Mac
4. Like an Angel Passing Through My Room by Abba
5. The Greatest Man I Never Knew by Reba McEntire
Those are just a few I can think of. I'll be back if I remember any more!

Sad songs to me are when I had a few too many and hear a song my mother had listened to back when I was a kid, she passed away back in 2003. :(
