I published an article on AC yesterday about the latest scam. I thought it was timely and hoped to get a decent ranking on google since the company didn't show up on any search engine as of the time I published the article.
I googled the partial company name this morning and it shows up #10, but still on page 1 and is the only listing that is recognizable as being about this particular company. When I google the full company name or any portion of the name along with the word 'scam', I'm #1 - yippie! Not only that, but the #2 entry is from treehugger.com with a link to my full article.
I have no idea how many people will be searching this particular term, but if they do, I'll get the page hits. I'm so glad I had the foresight to check this out and write about it immediately.
You can read the article by going to my profile and clicking on the link labeled 'Good Scoop'.
I'm still new at this and struggling to increase my readership. Have you written things that have gone to the top? How often does that happen? Do you have a system in place to help get you there?

Good for you, I know that has to be exciting. I haven't been too active on mylot lately. I seem to go in phases of which site I spend the most time in and lately it has been facebook. Which come to think of it, I think I saw you had responded to someone's post there.

Oh man, there are SO many things in that letter that ring alarm bells! I'm glad you wrote that article but sadly, there are a lot of people that will fall for it. People who run scams like this, especially in today's dismal economy, should be put away for life. They are predators who aren't even human.
Good job!

Good for you. If I write a positive article about a company or product, even if its a customer based review I'll send the article to the company and let them know that reproduce any part they want just as long as they credit me with the link or name. I read your article by the way, nice job.
