Do you love traveling? Do you travel alone or with a friend or family members? What do you enjoy much is traveling? List those local places who have visited and those countries you have visited for the past years. Traveling alone is sometimes boring. But being alone sometimes, you get peace of mind. You can actually concentrate on the purpose of your travel. You can have more time for yourself. You can make decisions that does not affect anyone else if you made mistakes but you. You can chose a hotel for yourself, you can chose whatever accomodation you want. You can eat those local foods as you desire. Sometimes if you are with someone, and they tend to be choosy, then your plan could be a waste. You can be affected by their decisions that will lead to some problems. For instance, you are a person who loves taking photos, then your companion does not want to stay longer just to take pictures, then you can have arguments for small reasons. I myself traveled alone from one country to another. I prefer to be alone sometimes because as what I have said before, decision making is much easier. But to travel alone is really boring. You have no one to talk to. You have no one to show your excitement when you see something special that you have not seen before. Only you can show to them when you are back home through your taken pictures and videos. Being alone also, you can concentrate on you shopping. You can spend more time from one shop to another. But being with someone sometimes could be very distracting or sometimes could be very helpful because they can make suggestions. Traveling with your best buddy like your mom and dad is also something special. You can have somebody to laugh about. You can make many things and share happy moments together. I wish I can travel with my family members soon.
Happy Mylotting, Keep posting. Have a nice day.

Even i would like to travel alone sometimes. If i visit temples and other places of historic importance I would like to travel alone since I can utilise my own time and need not compromise with others over time, food, travel and stay etc., and you can spend more time on your favourite location. This liberty you cannot be getting whenever you travel along with friends. I would like to visit Theme parks, Holiday resorts and other places with friends as it would make no meaning if we travel alone to those places. Trvalling alone sometimes make ourselves happy and manytimes make us feel that we are reaching the Salvation point. Cheers:-)

Yeah that is right. When you want to have time for yourself, then better to travel alone. You can think of many things about your purpose in life and about your future plans. That really helps. Keep posting. Happy Mylotting. Have a nice day.

Hello friend,
I am surprised myself but then I like to travel alone. I like to be alone even at home and then think about myself, my future, my career and a lot of things.I have been on many long journeys alone and I have enjoyed it. I take my novel and chess with me and play if I find someone equally enthusiastic about the game. Otherwise I just keep looking out of the window of the train/plane and let time pass..

Thank you my friend for sharing your point of view on traveling alone. I also do the same thing with you before. I even travel alone for so many years but now, I am looking for a companion. I just realized that it is more enjoying to travel with someone. But when you want to have a self realization like to think about your career and your future, then it is good to be alone because you can really concentrate on things that you really want to achieve. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy Mylotting.

Hello angelparis. I think I have to disagree to some of your points. Traveling alone does not mean you are alone in your life. You only travel alone for some reasons. And I am sure you know that. One example is that, you are being sent by a company to travel in a country where you will do business or attend a seminar, then you have no choice but to be alone. You can bring your friend but that really is not convenient because you cannot really do your work as good as expected. Take care. Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy Mylotting.

No, not really. I prefer to travel with my friends and family. I don't like being alone because I get nervous when I don't really know my surroundings and where I am at.

I understand your point. You are the type of a traveller who likes to consider what we call "environmental bubble". You are afraid to try new things. Many travelers nowadays were very adventurous. They really explore a place they visit.
Being with friends, family or relatives, we feel secured that if we try something new, then we feel that it is just okay since we are not alone. We feel the comfort of each other. Also, we share good quality time together. Thank you for the comment. Happy mylotting. Keep posting. Have a nice day.

I also understand your point. Hehe. So you are afraid that something might happen to you. Well just enjoy your time. That movie is just a story that have not happened yet. I am sure it won`t happen if you go to a place that you have made your research first. Also, people in different countries are really not the same so the best thing is to learn them so you won`t feel bad when something is initiated. Just feel like you are also a local in that place, and I am sure, you can have a great experience. Keep posting. happy Mylotting. Have a nice day.

I could not travel alone I have to have someone with me. I am scared to be alone if fear of some crazy person tring to take advatage of me. There are too many weirdos out there and I definently don't feel comfortable traveling alone. I don't even think it should be an option to travel alone. To have company is always a plus. It gives extra help and guidence if one gets lost. Also you can take turns driving so one doent get Burt out driving on the road constantly.

Yes I can understand you. Most people wants to have companion. Maybe you look rich, hehe, that is why people can take advantage of you. Just kidding. Yes, it is normal to be scared but do not let your feelings ahead of you. Just think that you will be enjoying your trip. When needing extra help, then it is good to be with some friends. Take care. Happy MYlotting. have a nice day. Keep posting.

hi yuanspace :)
We should be comfortable with both. When we are in the company, we can enjoy chit chat and have fun also. And when we are alone, we can concentrate on our thoughts or read some good book or article.but comparing to both....we can enjoy more while travelling with company.....!!this is my opinion...:)

You are correct. Both have their own meaning. It means that you travel alone for some reasons and you travel with family with other reasons. So both is very important. I just travel alone before because I cannot afford to pay for my family members. But when I get a very good job, why not travel with them together. Happy Mylotting. Keep posting. Have a nice day.

That is true, sometimes you are not bothered by whoever is with you, what matters is your destination, what you can see in that place and what you expect in that place. Thank you for the response. Have a nice day. Keep posting. happy mylotting.

I like to travel on my own, though most times I always travel with my friends or family members. Travelling with partners can bring us all pleasure and we can share with each other, but travelling alone sometimes surprised and highly impressed me. Normally I cann't remember those things happened during the group trips unless the pictures remind me,but I can clearly think of some small things on my own travel,or some special person I once met but never saw again.

Not that I like travelling alone, I often travel alone because my travels are mostly business trips. Some times, we travel as a group depending on the business we have to take care of. But, when travelling on holidays, it would ofcourse be nicer to travel with the family members.

At lasts, someone mentioned traveling because of business trip. You certainly correct. Mostly, when a company send you to a place for business purpose, you travel alone because it is expensive when a company sends many people for a certain meeting. Yeah, sometimes, people travel in group but what I can see here in Europe, normal is they travel alone. Holiday purpose is deinitely for a family. Thank you very much for sharing this. Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy Mylotting.

Actually, for me there is benefit to traveling alone and with others. I do enjoy a road trip with others. We can eat, visit and chat and experience the trip together. It's fun and exciting. And one big plus, other than just having memories together, is that we get to know one another better while we travel!
I also like to travel alone. I can stop when I want to, eat where I want what I want! I can go as far as I like and no further if I get tired. I also enjoy the quiet time. I am alone with my thoughts and it is useful for me to get all my thoughts organized while I am alone.
For me both are beneficial and I enjoy them both the same.

You are certainly correct. Traveling alone have benefits, advantages and disadvantages and at the same time, traveling with friends also have benefits, advantages and disadvantages. By being with others, you can share what you like about the place, you can share foods that you eat plus you cannot really feel bored. You will get the fun and excitement. Like what you have said, you get to know each other better, for example you are traveling with your partner, husband or wife or with a child, then that is the best time to share great memories together. On the other hand, traveling alone is beneficial when you need time for yourself. Many people seek peace of mind when they are in a situation that really needs them to be think carefully or to make a decision that will affect everyone.
Have a nice day. Happy mylotting. Keep posting.

I think there is not much fun traveling alone. Basically, I travel to overseas at least once in a year with my hubs or my family members. We do have some domestic trip as well. I hardly travel alone as I would not enjoy going holidays on my own. I love to travel with my family. There are much more fun and just imagine how it suppose to be for the holiday that you go without anyone accompany you. That's a boring and lonely holiday. No one take photo with you, No one chat with you.

Hmm, yeah in terms of having fun, well, it is not really fun to travel alone. Once again, traveling alone have some purpose. But if you are looking for enjoyment, then the best is to travel with friends or famly. That is nice to know that you travel every year. You can meet new people and explore new places and things. In terms of taking photo, yeah, hehe, if you love taking photos of yourself then definitely, you need somebody with you, or else, you might be asking people to do for you but that is not really convenient. But if you are the type of person who loves taking pictures of the surroundings, the city, the big buildings, etc..then you do not need somebody as you can do it yourself. Keep posting. Happy MYlotting. Have a nice day.

Travelling alone is not my first priority...feel boring being alone in a country. I always travel together with my husband and my son.At least once a yr , we will back to my hometown.Sometimes we will also stopby other country like KL or Spore for a few days before back to my hometown(Indonesia).I prefer to stay at home rather than travel alone.

Yeah to travel alone is boring but what if you really need to travel alone for a purpose. Then you have to. Traveling with family on holiday is the best while traveling on a business trip with family does not sound really good because you can be distracted and you cannot do your job good because you have to have time with your work as well as your family. Have a nice day. happy Mylotting. Keep posting. I have not been in Indonesia and I have watched news that there were hotel bombings in major hotels. I hope all is fine there.

Yes, I think I love to go on shopping with friends. They can actually give suggestions on what is the best for you. You can even give suggestions to what they buy too. Sometimes when you shop alone, and you do not have anybody to give suggestions on what you buy, then you returned home, they might not like what you have bought. Keep posting. happy Mylotting. Yes, you can do whatever you want if you travel alone. You can even buy cheap clothing and you can even give as gift to your friends. They do not know the price. Hehe. I definitely prefer to take a travel partner along with me. My bro and I flew to AZ to see our family. I could not have done that on my own! But I guess, it's the same with anything, the more you do it, they more confident you are when you do it again.

That is cool. I do not know what to say more because I think I already mentioned almost everything about traveling alone and traveling with famly. Since you mentioned here about visiting a family, then it is good to travel with some friends and introduce them to your parents. I love doing that when I was in the city for work and when I go back to my hometown I bring some friends and introduce to my family.

I am not able to travel alone due to family commitments these days. However in the past I really enjoyed traveling on my own. I felt a sense of freedom to go exactly where I liked to. I was able to stay in accommodation of my choice and afford it from my budget. I stayed in youth hostels and met travelers from other countries to chat to. In the day I was out sightseeing and in the evening I was chatting to people of different nationalities. These days I have the joy of seeing my toddler son have a wonderful time on the trips we do. Now I have a baby daughter she will come with us too. They are too young to say anything about where we go. The choice of destinations have to be suitable for them though. On our last trip going up and down stairs was challenging. Carrying so much luggage was demanding. I was 18 weeks pregnant so I had to take care and at the same time give my son a lovely time.

Family commitments is very important. I can understand why you cannot travel at this time. I also appreciate on giving another point of view by traveling alone. You mentioned that you felt the sense of freedom. That is really true because you can make a very fast decision, you can go anywhere you want, you only listen to yourself and you do not depend on others. You can even come to a place that a friend does not want to go. So that is one thing here. You can decide on your budget. I am sure you will be happier next time to travel with your family because they are part of you. I wish you a happy family. Take care. Happy mylotting. Keep posting. Have a nice day.
