We were getting way too much rain since right before Spring began until just a few weeks ago. Then, it started slowing down. Lately, I've been begging for rain! Isn't it strange how things can change so drastically in such a short time? I'm now under strict orders to "take it easy" until after I have some tests done on my heart next week, but I have a garden outside that needs my attention! If this had happened a month ago, I would not have to worry about my veggies dying from lack of water, but now... geez. Isn't life strange? Has your weather changed drastically lately?

You can have the rain here, just kidding. I totally hate rain since it's suppose to be summer where I live but it never got the chance to have a really great weather so I can spend the time outside in a bright sunny day. But sadly rain is taking up for weeks now and I wish that somehow it would be sunny.

Your weather sounds like what we had from just before Spring until just a few weeks ago. It seemed like we had 3 or 4 days of rain, then one sunny day, then another few days of rain. We were thinking about building an ark! LOL I hope you get your sunshine soon. I know what it's like when it rains non-stop. It's not only bad for gardens and crops, but it's so depressing! I'll try to send some sunshine your way!

It's been raining here in the Philippines for 3 days because of the typhoon. The rain is pouring hard it is very scary because we are always worried about the flood. The weather is unpredictable now a days because of global warming. Our concern is our laundry clothes that I washed last 2 two days up to now it never been dried. Our drier is not that efficient is drying our clothes we need to hang it to let it dry in the air. It is rainy season here so we are expected that more typhoons gonna comes in the next few days or in a month.

Last year is much worst it rain the whole season. Actually two weeks ago was fine, it was a lovely weather but now it's been raining. It's same here, the weather is pretty much rubbish here where I live, one minute heavy rain, then sunny then rainy and windy at same time.

Well yes it is strange, this whole year has been strange. We was suppose to have really severe storms the other day, no rain even got into the state next to us, let alone our state. The weather man said he wished he could tell us why but all he can do it scratch him head. When the weather man can't explain it, that strange. I know I have tomatoes that have done nearly nothing. I might have one or 2 on the vines. I water them about every night or so. And yes the garden is not worth you having a heart attack trying to take care of it. Believe me I know I had a massive heart attack and there is nothing more valuable than your life. If you have a hose, then water it but let the weeds go. They will be there next week after your test, and do whatever the doc says you need to do. Heart attacks don't care who or how old you are.

Now that's scary, when the weather man can't explain it! We've had days when rain was all but guaranteed... actually, strong storms with damaging winds and hail were predicted, but took a sharp turn southward, JUST before getting to us and what we had was a nice sunny day! Of course, this year, so far, that was a rare occurrence. We've had well over the average amount of rainfall. When we started having more sunny days than rainy ones, I was very happy. Unfortunately, now it seems that we're not having enough sunny days. My garden is growing very well... my second garden, I mean. My first planting was washed out by all the rain. The second one I planted when the massive rains were starting to slow down. Now, geez! I am able to water the garden from the deck outside the back door, so I don't even have to go down or up any steps. I'm very thankful for that! I have been leaving the garden alone, aside from watering it. Whatever is wrong with my heart, it came on so suddenly! I've had heart palpitations for 11 years, but the longest they ever lasted before now was one hour. These have been almost non-stop for almost 2 weeks now and my heart rate keeps going all over the place, from 62 bpm to 110 bpm within minutes, even while I was just sitting. So, for now, I'm behaving and doing what the doctor told me to do... take it easy. I'll admit, it's hard for me because I've always been very active, but I understand how fast things can go terribly wrong, so I'm behaving. You are right, the garden can wait. If it starts driving me crazy, I'll have my son pull weeds for me. I'm just very disappointed that this had to happen because I was planning on starting my fall harvest. Well, that's going to wait, too. If I take it easy now, hopefully there will be next year for that fall planting.

you are right there is always next year. It takes seconds for something to go wrong, I had never been sick in my life when i had the attack, it was stress and i had open heart surgery but i believe that it is time for some unblocking again, will make appointment soon. You take care of you and that is the important thing.

Our temperature has been cooler than normal, too. Usually, by this time of year, it usually hotter than any other time of the year. The third week of July is typically the hottest. Right now, though, it's only 69 deg. F instead of the 90something it typically is. I'm not complaining, either! I'd LOVE to have this kind of temperature every year!

Already done! After about two hours, I figured we had enough so I told it to go back up to you. I hope it gets there soon! If not, we'll have to send a search party for it. It hasn't been really hot here at all so far this year. It hit 90 deg. F yesterday and I believe it got to 92 once, but for the most part it's been in the 70's and 80's. Right at the moment, it's 72. Not bad for the third week of July! Typically, it's either close to or over 100 at this time. The weather sure is screwed up this year, eh?

Hello Marti. Things really does change. I remember when you said your garden was drowing in the rain. Now you are doing the happy rain dance now from getting rain. We get a shower once in awhile, nothing to brag about here. Sometime it rains all around us and we don't get a drop. It is hot here in the south. Today it isn't suppose to get out of the 80's but it is still humid. I am walking in the evenings now for a little exercise for my health and it is going good. Other than that things haven't chanced. You take care of yourself and do what the doctor instructed so that you can get well and get outside to take care of your garden.

Ya, our weather also keeps changing unexpectedly, at present we have too much of rains and we long for sunlight now. If in your case it is the garden and the veggies here it is the cloths which actually need a good sunlight now. Machine driers are not satisfactory.

The weather has been really on and off here ... it was really sunny for a week then it has been stormy for the week. The problem is I always want to go out and do something when it is stormy, but I am stuck in work or have things to do in the house on the days it is sunny.

It seems to be like that here too. It's been a crazy summer so far with the weather. Luckily though we haven't reached 100 degrees yet. The gardening can wait. Listen to the doctor's orders and take it easy. Hang in there and let everything fall into place.

Hey Sweetie, I'm glad you are being a good girl. I know how hard it is not to be able to take care of things especially your precious garden but what good is it if you aren't around to enjoy it? The rain will take care of things for you. So how are you feeling? Is hubby helping you out any? I hope we don't have to wait too long for the results of your tests. You take care of yourself. Hugssss leenie

Marti, Please send me your phone number. I'm really worried about you and sometimes email just isn't enough. I will email or pm you my number. Sweetie you have got to get away from him. You need your Son's now more than anything. While he is at work, pack as many clothes anthings that you will need and have one or both your sons come and help you. He knows what he is doing to you and doesn't care. If he doesn't know then he doesn't want to know. Leave now. Go and stay with your Son's until you find out what your health situation is. You cannot afford to wait for your SSDI. Call those so called Politicians and tell them you need help NOW!! Marti this man is slowly killing you. If you have access to your money then get what you can and leave. Nothing is more important than you. Please send me your number. Love Leenie

Yes Our monsoon also came very late this season. We expect rains in mid june but this year it dragged till mid july. Since 3-4 days it is raining now but this year the monsoon trend is very different. It will rain suddenly and its intensity is so high that we think that it will go on for some hours, then it suddenly stops. But it is good that because of this there is no water logging out on roads.
