What do you wear in bed?

Do you sleep in pyjamas, a shirt, nightgown, a sexy lingerie, just underwear, or nothing at all? Some manage to be fashionable even in their sleep, some just don't care for as long as there is a bed, and still others prefer to sleep "uncovered". Are you this kind of person? Me, I prefer to wear a loose t-shirt, a pair of pyjamas or anything cotton and feels soft. How about you?

I usually sleep on loose pajamas and old torn cotton white T-shirt with holes all over, something weird? But true, this are my husband's Hanes old shirts. I'm in a super hot and humid country during summer time and it makes me more comfy wearing something airy in bed.

Hey Seanbryan, Welcome to myLot! Oh yes, torn Hanes t-shirts - they're indeed very comfortable as sleepwear. I wonder how your husband reacts to this, hey don't get me wrong, all I mean is how your husband reacts to your wearing HIS shirts? LOL... Haven't been in that part of the world, but just the thought of living in a desert land makes me feel like diving into a bath tub now LOL. Thanks for dropping by and happy myLotting!

Hi seanbryan, I agree with your husband, you should at least be decent when there are other people in your house. But I think there is also a another hidden reason there - he doesn't want to you to show others those views that are supposed to be exclusively his LOL. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi doryvien! Actually my husband doesn't say anything about me wearing his shirts, all these are his junks anyway. While he is more of a fashion conscious even in bed I prefer wearing the most comfortable clothes that suits me well. But on some occassions that we need to share our flat to overnight visitors my husband would always ask me to sleep on a pair of decent pajamas and beware of old torn shirts!!!

Hahaha.. I am more of your kind dory. I wear pyjamas and loose T-shirts or tops. And I look horrible wearing it for my mom says that I give her trying times convincing me to change my night dress. I have 4 pairs and I would shuttle among those! . Now who wants to look fashionable while sleeping!

Hi Mimpi, Yeah, it's the most comfortable outfit to sleep on. So your mom is more concerned about how you look than yourself when going to bed? Cool mom! LOL. I think it's difficult to sleep in a more fashionable sleepwear, but I know some people sleep better in them. Have a good day!

usually for me i can just wear a tshirt and some loose shorts. nothing too tight, but not too loose to the point in which it drags. sometimes if im really lazy, i can just wear the clothes for the next day to sleep. that way i can just wake up and go out the house after brushing my teeth and everything

I have friends who actually do this, they go to sleep on their clothes for the next day, specially when they have to wake up really early to catch a flight or go to an early morning engagement. Doing this saves time and allows them to be in their appointment on time. I just hope they don't forget to at least wash up and brush their teeth, if they do, that would awful for the person they're gonna meet LOL. Happy myLotting!

I usually just wear the clothes that I wore when I take shower and get dressed, but occasionaly I wear my cotton pajamas. It doesn't really matter to me because the only people that are going to see me is my family.

Of course clothes that make us feel comfortable during the day at home will definitely be as good when we go to sleep in them. Cotton pyjamas are my favorite too when going to bed. thanks for responding and happy myLotting.

Same here, I usually wear what I wear for the day but sometimes before I go to sleep I take shower and in that case I'd wear long loose shirt and undies or sometimes I'd put on pyjamas.

SInce the start of my teens I have always wore shorts and tanktop to bed. My husband want me to wear lingerie but I like to be confortable or I can't sleep. I have always had trouble sleeping so comfort is the way to go.

My friends actually told me that lingerie is the best choice to wear during sleep, but every time I try it I don't feel comfortable. Yes, always dress for comfort, that's the best way to go, be it during the day or going to bed at night. Thanks for responding.

as much as possible, i wear my most comfortable clothes like boxer shorts and spaghetti straps if it's hot, or a shirt if i feel cold. i don't like the idea of nakedness in bed. for me, it sounds abnormal

I prefer shirtless and just wearing a pair of shorts to sleep. It's so hot and humid at night sometimes and it's great to have something less to wear to bed. But I need clean stuff each time..

Hi Zed, Yeah, specially in countries located in the tropics, some nights can really get so humid and leave no other choice but to lessen the sleepwear. After all, whether one is fully covered or wears nothing at all, we all have one goal when we go to bed - and that's to have a really good sleep. Thanks and happy myLotting.

It depends. Winter time I wear long pajamas cause sometimes the comforter and heater are not enough. It gets too cold. During summer time like now I usually just wear tank tops and undies...I like to sleep comfortable.

Yes, sleeping attire also depends on what season. We don't have winter in my country, but I can just imagine how cold it is during this season with all the snow everywhere. People have to gear up with the proper sleepwear to be warm and comfortable.

I usually sleep in sweats and a T in the winter. Lately, I have taken up running and so that it is easy to get going in the morning, I sleep in my running clothes! Silly, I know... but it eliminates excuses in the morning! All I have to do is slip on my running shoes and go! Works too!

Hi Macdingolinger, Hey, that's cool, wearing your running clothes to sleep so that you're ready to run when you wake up. Saves time and let's you stick to your goal. That's a smart idea you've got there! Maybe I should try it too. Thanks for sharing and happy running!

at night my favorite thing to wear is my footie pajamas there so warm and cute. my favorite part of them is the foot part i don't have to put on socks anymore at night. and since its summer i just wear anything to bed like my clothes i wore that same thing. or sometimes i change in my tweety bird pajamas because its more comptable and not as tight as my clothes.

Hi tiffany, I haven't heard of footie pajamas, is it like the ones for babies that cover the toes? If this is similar to the one I described, I haven't seen one for adults, only for babies. Maybe I should check out the stores just to have an idea of how it really looks and if there are ones available for adults. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

I actually sleep in just boxers. Where I live it gets really hot and I only have a really thin cover and even then it gets really hot at night. So I prefer to not have to much on but I wont sleep with nothing at all because it feels weird. But during winter when it cools down ill wear a loose fitting t-shirt and it feels pretty good.

I agree with you, it feels weird going to sleep without anything on. I live in a tropical country where it is really hot during dry season. We don't have winter here, only rainy and dry season. When it's rainy the weather can really get nasty with heavy rains and strong winds... Thanks for responding and happy myLotting.

I'll usually sleep with one blanket, and then either shirt or no shirt, either pj's or no pj's, or just boxers. Most often a shirt and boxers will do well.

hi doryvien, hmmm you really want to know what i wear when i sleep? well, anything that's comfy is fine with me but most of the time i wear shorts and sando (my son's sando) or a loose shirt (my husband's shirt) ---so cool and really comfortable. poor me, wearing theirs... NO PROBLEM with me. I AM IN PEACE WHILE WEARING THAT PIECE/S! i have my share of nighties and lingerie but i hate wearing sexy lingerie though i am sexy but i just don't want to. how about you mama? HAPPY SLEEPING...HAPPY SNORRING... Have a sound and peaceful sleep!!!

Hi msfrancisco, I understand your wearing your husband's shirt when going to bed, but son's sando? That's something new. You must be petite to fit into your son's clothes, or they're as big you . I think more and more wives want to wear their husbands' shirt because it's economical(no need to buy fancy sleepwear that are sometimes itchy LOL) and comfortable. Happy snoring too! May the force be with you LOL
