I never knew that I had to go into all my friends and put the "notify" ON, so I would be acknowledged everytime they started a new discussion. DUH! I do go into the "friends started" everytime I sign on, but I hardly every see all of my friend's discussions, so I just assumed they weren't starting anything new...HOW STUPID CAN I BE!
Well, I just turned on everyone's notification, and I will be able to see your discussions from the start. Again I apologize...I think I owe everyone my paycheck from mylot this month...

Dont have to be apologetic. Better slow than never. I am like you. Very slow to learn things. But there is one positive side to slow leaners. Those who learn fast, tend to forget just as fast. Slow learners have better power to retain long, what they have learn't

Hi Sweetchariot, I had them on but had to do a clean out of the friends list as don't want to be innundated with emails concerning discussions of no interest. We don't need the notify on to see new discussions by our friends as they are in the friends list, but I keep them on so that I can see comments on the responses I have made. Re the notify on working 2 ways I presume if I have notify on and my friend has notify off I will only see their comments and they won't see mine.
Anyway don't apologise for it! I just wish I knew how to open the second line of tabs without having to open a discussion first, there must be an easy way i haven't found yet!

Okay..I am going to save this response, so I can go back to it, and try to figure what you just said. It sounds like there is something else I am supposed to learn...lol

Actually, there are reasons that some of us have our notifications turned off. Provided that we are talking about the same thing at this point; we might be talking about two different things. I have my notifications turned off because I have so many friends. And I get an email everytime a friend starts a new discussion. Basically, the notifications would flood out my email account. Therefore, I have actually turned off my notifications. And I think a lot of us have.

That's a good thought! I will have to wait and see what happens. But when they are turned off, you don't see too many of their discussions, without scrolling thru all the darn things...lol ...and I hope that they will help me out, when I post discussions, so I don't know mind helping them.

Owe everyone an apology,
Well you can send your paycheck over here to me Sweetchariot and I will take it off your hands for ya:). I don't mind taking it if you got it to give, lols. Don't worry about not seeing your friends when they post a message in friends started, it takes a while to get used to this site and how it works so I wouldn't call you dumb, perhaps just a little bit slow like you said, no apology is necessary. Have fun mylotting.

Hey there Sweetchariot, take it easy, ok? Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm as dumb as you too. I saw the NOTIFY link, but I didn't know what it is for until I read your message here! So, I must thank you for bringing this issue up.
We learn by making mistakes. It doesn't show that we are "stupid" - just ignorant of they way things are done. :)
Oh, you're giving us a paycheck? Bring it on...LOL. Take care ok?
