I haven't got a digital camera and my cell does not take pics so yes I still use an old-fashioned album (old fashioned? . Maybe this year Santa will bring me a digital camaera but I shall not dispose of my albums - my whole life is there and I'm not throwing that away!

yes I do. I love taking pictures especially of my son and I've been updating his album every since he was a baby. Having an online photo album is nice as it keeps your photos stored well but whenever I have visitors that wanna view pictures I like it better when I show them real albums.

I have five old fashion photo albums with photos from the time I was a high school student. I very much value the memories, the happy times I had with my classmates. I would not go on to digitals with those pictures. The originality is the true value of the pictures.

i try to have the usual photos in an album since i found out, when we didn't have an internet connection then, that they get lost in the hard drive once reformatted. besides my husband isn't that good in keeping that thing of the computer that stores everything and you can replace. anyway, no offense to anybody but uploading pictures on the net like facebook, for me is quite showy in a way. it's like a publicized journal.

Yes, while digital cameras make keeping pictures easier and more high tech, I still prefer the old-fashioned way which having real photo albums with printed pictures. I have separate photo album for each member of my family, and also a family photo album where I put all family pics. But I also keep in a USB flash drive all the pics taken from a digital camera which I download to a computer when I need to view or print or share.

Hi cool_bollywood and everyone else on myLot - I am a new user and this is my first response to a discussion so I hope I'm doing this properly! I think it's a very good idea to keep an actual photo album as well as keeping photos on your PC. I have loads of photos in albums from when I didn't have a digital camera, but since I got a digital, I tend to just store them on the PC - partly because of the cost of printing ink, and party because I haven't the time or am lazy! It's easier to look at photos in an album than on the PC too...Digital photoframes are a good idea though. I like to riffle through a heap of photos, and old photos from pre-PC days seem to look better in an album than onscreen. Also, you have to rely on your electronics - if your hard-drive packs up and you have no back-up, you've lost your photos - this happened to my son who lost 3 years' worth of photos... On the other hand, your printed photos could get damaged by fire or water, or get chewed by mice! Best to have both...

G'Day cool, I think that is great. Photo albums were a great part of our lives for decades, before the digital era. and you will appreciate having them to look at in future years. Also we're not really sure how long the digital images will remain in mint condition, so it's like having a printed back up.

i have an album of my high school and college pictures, it's sort of a scrapbook and a photo album in one. It's not yet finished since i still have a lot of photos to develop. But for the record, my pictures are still in softcopy, i still have them in my laptop:)

I have some old photos. I hardly ever print out new pics. it would be way to costly. I have so many. I save them on CD's. Im also scanning my old photos and saving them on CD's too. IUts so nice to see them all on the computer screen. I dont leave them on the computer because i play games and i never leave anything on the computer. I save everything on CD's or DVD's.

I too love going through the old albums especially the really old pics of my grand parents and other family members which are all in Black and white. I try my best to preserve them and the other day got many of them digitally reprinted. I have many old albums which are very interesting to go through . My children's pics are the most precious and I take care to see that it is well preserved...Got them loaded on to the comp as well...

Well, I still have them. Digital cameras can take picture but viewing and showing the pictures inside is a pain, especially towards someone who might drop or damages the camera (I'll cry if that happen to me) We have digital photo frame now, yes but that cost more too (ok, so I'm cheap) Apart from that, keeping pictures in old fashioned photo album has more sentimental value to me.

well, after I took a photos i will make sure to transfer it right away to my notebook and sometimes burn it to CDs. but, now a days even in USB I am not sure if my photos can be stored forever.=( but one thing i am sure of, that i can see the photos whenever and wherever i want. It's a less cost for me not to print those photos especially the unwanted shots.lol I hope those childhood photos of mine can be stored as what technology can offer us.

I do...I prefer photo albums (developed pics) than a virtual photo album. Even if I have photos burned on CD or photos turned into a film, I am still keeping a hard copy of them. I guess it is more nostalgic and meaningful looking to pictures in hard copy than looking at them through PC

I still print all my photos. I put them all in fancy album. I still store them digitally but I just don't trust all this savvy tech because they can get infected by virus and so on.

i do like the old fashioned photos. they give me beautiful memories. i store them well, and will take out to have a look now and then. for the current photos, i keep them in my laptop and also in the mobile disk,hehe...if possible, maybe i'll choose some to be developed.

Yes I do! I love looking through them with my children as well! Even with a digital camera I like to print my pictures and place them into albums. I have one for each of my children that one day will become their own album to keep. I also have several family photo albums and actually need to buy more because I have photos that don't have a home yet! Looking through a photo album is special to me and it cannot be replaced by digital photo albums! Though I do keep digital copies of my pictures on a thumb drive in case I need to reprint. :)

I still have some old photo album that my aunt gave to me couple years ago. To me, I think the online photo album is much more convenient. That is the reason why I never spend any money on buying old fashioned photo albums.
