Why do people assume they can get rich online?

People seem to think they can get rich online. People need to use common sense instead common cents. That would be like saying everyone could get rich from working at McDonalds. The chances are so slim and I mean SLIM! People don't realize I make alot of money online by doing so any things at once. I do focus groups, testing, surveys, PTC, PTR, PTS, making ringtones, giving away freebies, writing, posting, ect. I also make money by signing up for freebies and then buying a 1.00 basket and then selling it as a $5.00 gift basket. I also am writing a screen play right now. I have sold to 3 local stores my "Airabella" scented bead bags. I make and sell candles and lotions/sprays, and last of all I make and sell my own chocolates. I am still not rich. Yes, we all dream of getting to stay home and get rich online...but you can make real money online. You can make really good money online...but a slim chance you'll get rich doing it.

I totally agree with u 100 percent and people are crazy to think that they can get rich without doing much of nothing and sitting around. It requires a lot of hard work and effort. Getting money is never easy there is always some type of requirement or some type of work that needs to be done believe me if there was some type of job that u could be rich with out doing anything or much of nothing then everybody would be doing it.
And another thing I don't get people believe some of these sites that claim u can be rich in a short amount of time and u just need to make one small payment and people will pay and then find that they aren't rich like some of the people who have tried it claim to be. I think like u said people need to start using common sense and reading the fine print and think that there is no quick and easy way to get rich.

I'd like to know why they think that too. Also, people think you can make good money fast and easy. That's not true! Like you said, you have to do many many thing to make good money. All of it takes time and effort. People just want easy money too. I like your phrase that says people need to use common sense instead of common cents.

Well I never really believed that a person could get rich online and most online programs that claim that you will become a millionaire online is lying, and your right people need to snap out of it, and be realistic about things a lot of people wish that something miraculous will happen and that they'll be able to just quite there jobs and just sit home and do nothing, and thats just not realistic.
With that said, I'm very aware that people can earn money online but you most likely wont get rich over night but you can earn some cash if you do your research and live in reality and remember that nothing you find online will make you a millionaire, but you might be able to supplement your current income, with a little common sense and by being persist, and staying level headed.

Hi I agree with you but you can make good money online, but you have to make the effort, it took me neary a year before the business look off, but when it did it lasted the ten years, and it would still be going and growing if I had not decided to close it. Ok I may not have got so call rich, But I live very nicely without too many worries.
I did this online stuff for 8 years before that and I never realy made more than $100.00 But good luck to those who say they are.
I could talk through how I did it but who would listen.
There is one thing I like and that is a real tryer.

I think almost everyone at some point in their lives have fallen prey to the "get rich quick and easy" thoughts. Most of us work so hard on a day to day basis just to get by, pay our bills, and try and afford the things we need, that when someone comes along and says, "I know how you can make thousands of dollars from your own home only working a couple hours a day...." we all take a second and wish it were true. I myself have sat up late at night watching those silly infomercials wondering, if maybe this one, was for real. But, then you come back to reality and realize that there are no get rich quick schemes that really work. It takes time, effort, energy and hard work.

Hi it depends what you call rich, I ran a business online for 10 year selling Country western accessories in the UK and my first outlay was just £7.50 ( 6.5 US dollars) and it grew from there, I have now retired from that as it was getting too big for one person to run and as you see I am 71 this month.
I now use the experience I gained to make Native American style beadwork and selling that and also the bits for others to maker there own. so the answer is yes you can make money on the internet, and it is never too late ( Smile )

I think some people make that assumption because it's an idea that's sold to them on quite a few sites.
For me, I'd like to make enough online to live on quite comfortably. Maybe it'll make me rich one day - it's not something I'd say no to, but it's not something I'm aiming for. Making a comfy living is a more realistic desire for me. That in itself is not without its challenges. But it's a challenge I'm working towards.

because they thought they could really do it. there's so much optimism in them that they're willing to take the risk. however, if they failed, they tend to be depressed and either stop or slow down in money earning opportunities.

I agree with you. Nothing pays for no effort. Online job can play as a part time job for us to earn more but not to depend entirely on it. I am sure none of us spends a few cents or dollors per month. We all have commitments and there are many thing we all desire in life. We cants earn only online and hope to get rich. All we need to do is invest in some effort and get a full time job with a salary that is fixed for a months so we can rely on it to get into commitments.

I think it possible to earn online money if you know the correct way. Discipline and hardwork are the keys to starting online biz. The problem with newbies are they are too eager focussing on earning millions. and if these newbies couldnt get what they dream of, they felt cheated and give up. I guess if they focus on getting thing done the correct way, money will come eventually.

Lord I know. Isnt that the truth. We would all love it but it wont happen. However when you have things you may need a little extra money for then this really does help if you handle it correctly and choose the right site.

It is not easy at all to get rich online. I know that anyone can make real money online, but it not as easy as people think. wow, you do a lot of things online. How you do all that? Isn't difficult? Currently I'm only doing some writing and I try to do other things so that I can have extra income. Extra money do no harm, right. From what you are doing I believe you work full time online? Its hard, isn't ? Happy mylotting.

yes, i agree with you. we have a slim chance of getting RICH online. Yes, we make money online, but it is just enough to provide you what you currently need. It is a small amount of money, but it helps.

I know there are a few that have gotten rich but not people doing surveys and such. It's the people that have the popular websites that are making all the money. why dont you bring all your products together and make your own web site?
