Will you still fly on planes in the future?

I think it is sad that some planes have crashed in the past. It seems that there have been of few of these happen lately. There have also been some problems in flight and some planes have had to have emergency landing. I know my toddler's health visitor that visited when he was a baby had suffered a scary emergency landing. She was so scared she won't ever fly again.
What has been the worst time you have had on a plane?
Will you fly on planes again? If so where would you like to fly next?

althouth this year a few air diseaster happened, i still will take airplane.
it's practical way to go further for me.
however i will choose very relialble airlines and always buy insurance for my family.
if i fly next i will choose to france or Italy. it's my next trip destination.
the world would not be worse, maybe for the next few months it's the safest period.maybe.

I've never been in emergency landing situations. I'm sure that would scare me greatly. But I've been in scary car accidents. I've been injured horribly. But I still drive today. So unless I had something horrific happen in an airplane, I'd go on flying if I needed to. But as far as airplanes go, the only bad experience I've had was just turbulence. It was really bad weather, and some people were scared, but it really wasn't that bad to me. Probably because I always hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Plane travel is problematic for me for health reasons, not scare reasons. While it does seem that there are a great many incidents up in the air of late, you have to take that into context with just how many planes there are up there. The sky is so very crowded!

There are still fewer air mishaps then there are mishaps on the road. Do we hear about road mishaps? Rarely, unless there is something unusual or there is a very large number of cars and people involved.

While there are accidents with planes, there are far more accidents on the road. There may be a couple hundred people killed when a plane goes down, but there are so few incidences compared to the number of auto accidents that occur world wide each year. I wouldn't mind flying if I could afford to do it again. Thanks for brining up the topic.

I have never had a bad time on a plane, I guess maybe I have been very lucky. I will continue to fly, I love flying and the way that it affords to get to places that I canĀ“t drive or that would take too long by car. Even though there has been much publicity about plane crashes I still feel very safe in the air. Probably the next place I will fly will either be the US to see family or Belize to visit friends.

Accidents will always happen, as on the road also. I won't stop flying because of what I read, but that might change if I were in a situation that were life threatening.

I think the plane accidents are still less than other public transportation. I am not afraid of flying on the planes. I still like to travel by the plane. Because I don't have long vacation, I can't waste my time on the way. So the plane is the best choice for me. I haven't experienced many horrible things in the plane. Usually my ears don't feel comfortable and that's all.

maximax8,
Air travel is inescapable for me due the nature of my work and it is the only fastest mode to go the distance.
For me, I am more particular with the airlines that I fly with nowadays, especially having been with so many of them which I am sure you would have experiences I have had. Some airlines will just send chills down your spine with their precarious flight records and feedbacks from fellow traveling friends or relatives. So, there will always be some airlines where I will avoid at all cost even if I have to go through transiting with a much more reliable and better service airline(s).
As for the share of thrills and spills, I have just have had a few like a 6 feet drop due to midair turbulence, the left wing breaking off on landing, skidding on the runway, tyre punctured on landing and an engine dropping off at take off. I can assure you that I can feel my heart in my mouth on all these times and yet it is really a miracle that I have no effects on me to withdraw or wince so far.
So, yes I will still fly anytime when I am required.

I would still fly. My husband wont though. I beleive if it is your time to go you are going to go no matter if you are flying in the air or are sitting in your living room and the planes crash lands on you. I just can't afford to fly right now to expensive.
