What's the secret to your happiness?
Me at the very moment in my life .. is to have a baby (my baby) in my hands ... Secondly a long wonderful romantic life with my husband....
I am sincere, without money .. i dont think i can get lots of stuff to sustain most things required in my life .. both of us have to work hard as it is to pay our debts .. with a new bundle of joy we may require more money
So ... Money = Happiness ?? what do you think

Hello there Sanjana..
Good day to you. I think happiness stands by itself. It is life by itself and happiness has to be earned.
I won't say that I'm very happy with my life right now, but I'm very contented.
I wish you nothing but happiness with your husband and an upcoming baby soon..

Hi Sanjana, I don't agree with you totally, that money equals happiness, because money is not everything, yes it is important in fact more than important, but still happiness is something different. You can buy few things which will make you happy, but not everything. Like what if you have money and no one with you to share, like if both of you gets busy in earning but unable to give time to yourself. There are many things which money can't buy. I know sounds like some good words in book, but believe me even in practical life it matters a lot. You need to balance between money and life to be happy. My views only.

Like I said, not everything, but yes most of the things. For example you cannot buy Love, you cannot buy time, you can buy food but not hunger , again bit bookish but there are several things which money can't buy. But agree with you that for most of the things you need money.

i agree with earning money pious way .. do not cheat or hurt/harm people to get the money and your life will be happy ..
definitly - money is the source for happier life if it is earned the right way

I would say that adequate money makes it possible to be happy. Think about all of the problems in your life. You want to be home with your baby...if you had adequate money you would be, thus making you happy. But the money itself isn't what makes you happy, it's the ability to do what you want with you life. I think it is great that the two things that you say will make you happy are your family. That is what will bring you true happiness.
The people that think that money itself can bring happiness will find that when the money runs out so does the happiness. But if you base your life on something that can bring continual happiness like family you will find that money is just the means to the end.

Firstly i should say that you are very lucky to have a lovely baby and a husband who loves you very much . For me this is the first important . Of course i need money too because money can make more happiness for our life. Our family is not rich at all but we will try our best to earn more money and enjoy our life.

grace .. i do not have a baby , i just spent 16k to go tru IVF and i failed in having any baby .. but i have not given up still trying ... this is why i say money is required for happiness .. in order to be happy with a child i am willing to spend more money but i need to pay my debts for the previous trial

money makes me happy. i believe that you cant have anything without money.
for example... people say love is the most important thing... how many of those people i wonder, could fall in love with someone homeless. with all due respect, i doubt many of them would even entertain the idea of talking to them.
without money, you cant socialise with friends in any reasonable way.

At this point in time of my life I do think money equals happiness but that could also be because I have none. I don't have a car. I don't have a way to pay my bills. I need money right now to succeed in happiness. I think it just all depends on where you are in life to find happiness. Money can sometimes be your solution or people can be your solution. Find what you need and be happy.

hi gabs .. i understand what you mean .. but still the money is required to make this happiness happen .. definatly you cant just stay somewhere and expect happiness when you dont have anything to eat ..
Long time ago, when there was not money .. it could have happened, because we eat what we had at our farm and hunt for the meat, fish in the river ..
what do you think

Money is the root of evil,I am starting to believe this.I have seen people that have tons of money and no worries in the world. These people are lonely ,never find true love and buy everything that comes near them. I would much rather keep living my life paying bills ,loving my hubby and family and working for the things ,I want then be rich.
You are on the right path this is what everyone longs for ,to be surrounded by people who you love and are loved back........ What more could you ask for.
Always remember if you wait till you have the money ,it will never get happen. We the less fortunate ,cannot snap a finger for our happiness, but work hard and keep trying.

Hi Sanjana, nice topic. Being happy means you must be content of what you have or what you are. If people will not be satisfied, they will still strive and do a lot of things to reach that goal in life and when they have it, they will have the urge to have more so they will never be happy.
Happiness in a person's life can be define into so many ways. What makes them happy, what gives them happiness and what their source of being happy. If for you, you have listed above the things you need and want to be happy in life, i too would have certain lists that i want to also to feel happy. I am just like you longing to have a baby to have a complete family. I am sure in God's perfect time He will give this wonderful blessing to us.
Money can't buy true happiness. It can for some how buy the things you want, do the things you like but then as I have said, money can't buy true love, money can't buy good sleep nor a perfect health or immortality.

"Money is happiness" - err, no.
"Money brings happiness" - well, not all the time.
"Money makes us happy" - yeah, but for how long?
So you see, money doesn't bring absolute happiness. It could BUY some happiness, but that's about it. Notice that people with plenty of money often have plenty of problems too? When the poor receives money, they will be happy but when the money has all been spent, they will be unhappy again.
Happiness lies within you. Poor people have been known to be happy; they're happy not because they're poor but because they're alive, they've a family to love. Rich people are also happy because they could get whatever they want, though some of them have not much time to shower enough love to their children.
So do people still say that money equals happiness? They must be bad in Math :)

hi kev ...
money is needed for sustaining a lifestyle ..
Lifestyle of poor .. no education, not enough of food, not enough of cloths to wear, dream of designer wear , dream of driving car, dream of not leaking roof, dream of proper bed, dream of not having mosquito ... (well money can change all the above)
Lifestyle of middle class people is still ok because they can maintain livlihood with lesser problems and still can look into better future for their children
Lifestyle of rich .. i agree might not he happy and wonderful ...alot of people are there to cheat them and lie to them
cheers

the real happiness lies in the way a person persuade a situation .money is needed to some extent to bring stability in the family.but never take money=happiness.its not always true.a billionare can own a big property if he wants but its of no use if there is no one with him to share his thouhts with.whereas a poor guy who can barely earn enough to feed his family can also be happy.so ultimate happiness comes with family and not money

i donot think money is equal to happiness,u know, u cannot buy spiritual happiness with money. but on the other hand, with money, you can gain more material happiness. so we cannot just say more money means more happiness.
