If it is not plugged in the screen of my laptop is so dark I can't see what I am doing. The cable isn't all that long so it can be rather annoying when I have to sit far from an electricity plug. I wish I could take my laptop in my garden when the weather is dry. However then I can't see the screen well enough.
Do you find the screen of your laptop is only bright when it is plugged in?
Is there a way to improve the brightness of the screen when it isn't plugged in?

Hey,
No my laptop isn't always bright when it is plugged in. My laptop came with some software that controls the battery options, including brightness levels. So I can change the brightness levels regardless of if it is plugged in or not. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

Hi Maximax, I use a wireless laptop and have the same problem in that I can't see the screen outside. Also I like to use it in different places so settled on a simple extension lead which means I am not having to unplug other things to plug in the laptop. It's a lot of wire to trail round but it's worth it to find the coolest spot in the house to use it in comfort.

Hi max, to be honest, I've never noticed any difference, except when I take my laptop outside it's naturally lighter because of the daylight. However, I haven't noticed any difference in places with the same light.

Hi maximax8,
I also have the same problem with yours. But I purposely let it be like that because I can save my computer battery whenever I didn't plugged. If you want to make your computer screen always bright either plugged or not, you can change your power setting. Change it to high performance setting. I hope I can help you with that.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day.

Check next to the "Ctrl" key. There should be a "Fn" (or function) key depending on the make/model. Try unplugging the cable so you experience the dark screen. Then hold the "Fn" (or function) key, and press the up arrow repeatedly until the screen is bright enough. Let me know if this works.
