Fries with mayonnaise?

I just puked in my mouth. eewwwwww!!! That sounds so gross! I really really hate mayonaise. I've never heard of dipping fries in it! That would seriously make me gag if someone ate that in front of me.

yes i saw it and tried it me too...in reality i think that french fries with ketchup is really popular in us but in many cases in eurpe french fries can enable even mayonnaise...personally i never tried both so i used mayonnaise or ketchup not all together...

Hi. anna728. Yes, I have heard of this before. My husband and my kids eat french fries like this. They also eat mayonnaise with their french fries too. I have tried it and I like it very much too. When I first tried it, I thought that it was strange, but it is not, it is really delicious.

yuck...I cringe at the very idea of doing that.mayo just has a completly different taste then ketchup. I dont like it nor would I try it i love my sweet ketchup instead.

I think here in our country it is common that we dip french fries in mayonnaise but most of the time we still mix some ketchup in the mayonnaise. But I also take mayonnaise alone sometimes. It also taste good and I also love it. The mayonnaise with ketchup here in our country is most commonly found at street foods or some school canteen that selling snack for students. You can also add some pepper if you want.

Yup! I'm doing it..! I dip fries with mayonnaise..sometimes I add the mayonnaise with much cheese so it taste more better..I tasted it..Its very delicious! I dip my baked potatoes on Mayonnaise with cheese..you should try it..try it and see the result..I love the result so maybe you would like the result too..Happy eating! I have tried a variety of dips: 1) Mustard 2) BBQ Sauce or HP Sauce 3) Nacho Cheese 4) Mayonnaise My favorites beside ketchup is nacho cheese and mayonnaise. Oh, and also gravy.

my daughter loves french fries dipped in (are you sitting down?) mustard! i have no idea why either! here in canada, the big thing is poutine. it has cheese curds on fries with gravy. i dont like it but my family does.

I haven't tired plain mayo, but I have done it when I accidently overload my whopper with ketchup and the mayo & ketchup are mixed then I'll dip my fries in that combo.

Yes, I like to dip fries into mayo, but I love to have some ketchup together with it! I love ketchup, and with a little mayo, it make the fries taste better! have you tried that?

I'd love to dipping my french fries into any other good taste sauce, or mayonnaise, It's ok since I like the taste of the sauce. Once I try with bbq sauce and thousand island and it's great,,hahaha^^,, maybe you should try it sometimes! I found it's boring if I eat french fries only with ketchup or salt..

Yes, I have done it. Dipping your fries in tarter sauce is also good. This is going to sound strange but dipping your fries in a vanilla icecream cone from Mcdonalds is also good.

I always love ketchup for my fries! But whenever I am in a fastfood chain, and there's a combo that comes with burger with it, I can't help but to dip my fries on the mayonnaise inside the bun. It tastes good and makes the fries more yummy. You can give it a try. For sure, you will love it too

I've tried this and its amazing yet very delicious though. Although before the right dip for it is ketchup but one time there are people who combined ketchup and mayonnaise and guessed what the taste was so delicious and its very flavorful.

yes i do and i find it good! i have this classmate way back college that is fond of using mayo on her fries...and from her i learn eating fries with mayo! but i still like it more with ketchup! sometimes i also dip it on sundaes!

I like both ketchup and mayonnaise,the combination of the two makes me crave more for fries..but I haven't tried dipping it in a mayonnaise though..I don't know maybe I'll try it one time..there's no harm anyways..it's still fries..:)

that is the way that I have eaten my fries for the last 15 years, which is funny because I found out 10 years ago the the dutch eat them the same way and my maternal grandmothers family came from Holland. Basically I think I started eating mayo on my fries because sour cream tastes good on baked potatoes, I didn't have any sour cream at the time and went for the mayo instead. Turned out it tastes good,it may not be that great for me considering what mayo is but then I don't eat french fries as much as I would like to either.

I always diped my fries in ketchup when I was little, but I "discovered" mayonnaise last year, and know I always dipe the fries in mayonnaise. I like the taste better, it more "lighter", and not so "strong" than ketchup, if you know what I mean. Nice discussion, by the way!
