I liked most of the movie but when it was done, I was just sort of like huh, ok. I didn't like the ending. What did you think?

I didn't see many previews for the movie before I watched it. And so my impression of it before I saw it was all wrong! I thought the whole thing was just that some kids were going through some sort of adventure in a labyrinth...

anna728 I disagree, dods33. I don't believe in god and I follow laws and I don't just go about quarelling with other nonbelievers all day. Just because religions talk about morality, and offer a code of ethics doesn't mean that morals or ethics *come from* religion.

anna728 I actually am pretty impressed at how much evolution explains. I can't think of anything under that topic that I don't consider to explain. I think it's an elegant and powerful model. I guess my thing about the "god of the gaps" thing is that given that...

anna728 Yeah I've read some of the social contract theorists (ie Locke) and I remember natural law from that, too. But yeah, I think you make a good point there.

anna728 I think that's true most of the time but there have been times where there have been rules that were actually really bad themselves.
