My daughter is 13 months old. She has always pulled my hair cuz it is very long...but now she does it on purpose & when I tell her know she laughs at me!! It doesn't matter if I have it tied back in a ponytail or bun she still finds it & grabs it & she thinks its hilarious! I tell her no & to stop it cuz it isn't nice & it hurts mommy, but she keeps on doing it...this morning she pulled 2 strands out of the scalp! Man did that hurt!! Anyone have any suggestions other then shaving mine all off to get her to stop? Thanks :-)

I dont really know what to tell you because my ten month old is doing the same thing and i am also tring to figure out a way to make him stop doing it. when i tell him no he wants to do it more. He thinks its so funny. And i dont know why but he will generally only pull my hair. I have tried so many different things to try to get him to stop but he wont. i guess we just have to wait till they grow out of that stage.

I had the same problem with my niece, you have to explain to your child that it hurts. when she pulls your hair, you pull hers back, she feels the pain, she understands its not pleasant and if she doesn't wanna feel it again she won't pull on yours any longer. With children you have to teach them at an early age to be careful otherwise they will take everything as a joke, you have to show her that actions have consequences. Maybe give her a time-out. Or do as i suggest and pull her hair back. But don't be too rough! remember shes young, and has to learn.

I wish I could give you advice but my son does it as well. He is 28 months. He thinks its funny. I just humor him and let him do it because it makes me happy to hear him laugh. I know he won't do it forever and i just want to enjoy some of this stuff.
