My daughter and her friends. And also other family members and friends. Spend hours getting pedicures. They will not be caught dead in open toed shoes without their toes and feet in perfect shape and looking good. I really wasn't into this so I would just stick my feet into a pair of sandals or any other open toed shoes and off I would go. Not even painting my toe nails. Well I decided to do some research on self pedicures and start doing a little work on my feet myself. Now I follow the instructions and even paint my toes before sticking my feet into sandals. I have to admit it does look and make me feel better.
My question is what about you do you get pedicures,or do you do your own pedicures, or just stick your feet into your opened toed shoes and off you go?

The only pedicures I have ever gotten were from my teenage daughter and those have been rare. I don't need a pedicure because I don't wear open toed shoes or sandals or those god awful flip flops
I prefer a nice pair of socks and shoes, regular shoes

Oh, how sad, you don't wear flip flops?? I live in them in the summer! When I am in 100 degree heat, anything else my feet sweat in, and I hate that. So, to keep air flow, I wear flip flops. I do love beautiful shoes though. I take my daughter on the weekends to look at beautiful shoes. I think you should go to the beach, in some flip flops, you will love it!

Most of my time these days is spent in slippers and my feet get lots of air I do like the comfort of shoes and socks as I want to protect my feet when I am outside.
When I was a little kid in the 1950's and first saw a pair of flip flops I thought they were the stupidest thing ever. Who'd have thought that 50 years later they would be the height of women's fashion? Flip flops are more harmful to your feet than any pair of stiletto high heels

Hi, Chevee!
I get a pedicure about every 5 to 6 weeks. Diabetics like me have to be very careful with their feet, and my dearest friend owns the shop where I go. She takes special care to be sure it'll be ideal. It really does make me feel pampered and just more attractive!

Just do my own pedicures. I do on rare occasion have a salon do it. I have everything I need to do my own. I am picky if I am wearing open toed shoes. I do the entire treatment and do it right when I do it.

I get regular pedicures at the salon all the time. I am constantly wearing flip flops, sandals and open toe shoes. I do them myself in the winter time as I still wear sandals and flips flops around the house. I do enjoy it. I like looking at the prints and the little jewels that I get on them. It makes myh feet look attractive and it just makes me feel good that I go a nice pair of feet and toes to go along with sandals and flip flops.

I have had pedicures before, but I don't always have to have them. I have a pedicure set, so I try to make sure my toes look OK before I go out, this doesn't mean that they have to be painted, I just like them to be clipped and not looking mungy. I do enjoy an occasional pedicure done by someone else, and when I do that, I usually get white tips done, because I think that they look pretty.

I am not allowed to work in open toed shoes, so I seldom wear them. I have some "shower shoes" not flip flops that I wear in the house and yard. I do my own nail care when it is neccessary. I like how my toenails look when all painted and trimmed.

I don't do all this stuff. I just don't have the patience. My sister is always after me to do so. But no. I would rather spend that time enjoying myself with my pets. I don't even care about painting my nails.

I've never had a professional pedicure, although I'd like to. My mom has had a couple, and she loves when they massage her feet. Sure, getting her toenails painted is nice, but she enjoys the little massage! LOL My sister gets one once every couple of months. She is the one who has treated my mom to a couple of pedicures. I do my own pedicures. I make sure my toe nails are painted if I'm wearing open toed shoes. It just looks better when a woman has her nails polished when one can see her toe nails in shoes.

I have never had a pedicure but from the way people talk they are great. I just do my own & do keep my toenails painted in the summer because i do wear sandals, flip flops etc.

sometimes i do my own pedicure...i learn it when i am still on college. but there are times that i feel lazy doing it on my own and sometimes i even accidentally hurt myself...so what i do now if i feel lazy to do it myself, i just call my neighbor to do it for me...and i know she do better than me...specially on pulling out the in- grown!
sometimes i am not doing it at all...i just brush my nails while bathing and there i am ready to go!

I would LOVE to go to a salon to have a pedicure done, but my husband about passed out when I told him it was $40! He said, "to have someone paint your toe nails?". Then I thought about it & figured I have better things to spend $40 on, so I just do my toe nails myself. And they need to be done badly right now. I haven't even been wearing sandals lately because I need to paint my toe nails. I need to do that soon!

As long as my feet are clean and healthy, I think I don't need a pedicure. I don't stare at other people's feet so why should they stare at mine? I honestly think that feet in general are not pretty, with or without a pedicure. But I think that getting pedicures with others can be a good bonding experience. It was fun during sleepovers when I was 10 years old.

I do my own nails because I think it's a waste of good earned money to have someone else do them when I can do it myself. I put nail polish on my nails and then when they grow and are in need of new polish, it'll get done when I get to it and I wear what I want when I want. lol I don't let other people bother me for I am me still no matter how good or bad I look. lol

Hi Cheeve,
I never bother with pedicure and just stickmy feet in my open toe shoes but most of the time when I got out I wear my trainers, no one sees my feet lol! but I think I will treat myself sometimes. Hugs.

I absolutely love pedicures. The massage, the soaking in hot water; nice! But I only go to a salon/spa once in a great while to get it professionally done. I usually do my own pedicures; and do them for my girls as well. They love it. And I do too. During the summer months I usually have polished toes. It makes me feel like I've pampered myself. It's a good feeling.
