hello fellow mylotters,
Question is: Is Paypal Safe?
i'm going to try and get my parents to allow me to use a paypal account. however, they don't think paypal is safe.
I would like to hear what you have to say about paypal and whether or not it is safe to use.
also, there are a couple questions that i would like for you to shed some light on.
1. Do you have to have a verified paypal account to send/recieve funds?
2. Is it safe to give your credit card or bank account info to paypal?
3. How may i withdraw funds from paypal? Do you have to have a verified paypal account to withdraw funds?
any replys would be very helpful and much appreciated. thanks!

Yes, i think it is. Beside that, i never left my balance more than $10.
#1. I have my paypal account verified, it is more convenient for me.
#2. And there is nothing to worry to save our bank account details info into paypal. It is use by paypal to withdraw funds to our bank account, right?
#3. You have minimum funds to withdraw at least $10 with some fees in paypal policy. No fees if minimum withdraw $150. Yes, we must have verified paypal account to withdraw process.

Yes you can instead i never do that. It is can ordered from certain countries.
Maybe you can find your answer here :
https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter
or you can read below that i have copy and paste it for you from paypal site..:
[i]For U.S. members, please allow 1-2 weeks to receive your check. If you have not received your check after 14 business days, please contact us.
For members in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, India, Jamaica, or Uruguay, please allow 4-6 business days for your check to be processed and mailed. Postal delivery time is additional and varies depending on your country. Please note that PayPal has no control over the local postal delivery times.

Hope it's help.

I have been using paypal for over a year, and so far I haven't had any bad experience's so I'm pretty sure its safe but the best way to get more answers to your questions is to go to the paypal website help section, or call paypal direct they have a phone number for members to call, lastly you can verify your paypal by adding your bank account info, you dont have to withdraw founds to verify your account, and its pretty safe to add your credit card a lot of members do.

I have been a member of papal for a few years now (about 5) and i have never had a problem with them. But what i did was open a separate bank account that i only use with papal. That way our household funds are not involved with it. so if anything does ever happen it will not involve a great deal of money because i withdraw most of it right away.

Paypal is a safe payment processor. My friend works there as an account executive and she can vouch for that. I had my account verified and to ease your apprehension, they do not show their client's card identification. They give security to their clients.

I also worried on how can I transfer my earnings in paypal to my bank account. I don't have credit card I don't know if I'm going to encounter a problem in verifying my account because I only have atm not credit card. From what I have read here paypal is safe and I hope it is true because I can't think any other way on how can I get my money there.

Personally I have never had any trouble with Paypal, I believe them to be safe...when you want to withdraw funds it is simple you just have to transfer the amount you want to withdraw to your bank account and that can take a few days depending on your bank...I transfer funds to my friend and he doesn't have a verified account....I believe Paypal is the best way to go for online transactions...

I own a business and run some of my payments through PayPal. I have both accepted money through them and paid out through them. I have never had a problem, and the program is very easy to use. I would say PayPal is one of the safest sites available, from what I can see.

I have never had a problem with paypal as far as funds are concerned. I have always gotten my money, and my bank account is protected. I have had my account for a while. I use it often instead of a credit card.

2)Yes they keep your information private.
3)You can withdraw using a check or send it to your bank account. Paypal also have a card you can get.

Paypal is probably the safest online payment processor today. I signed up with paypal in 2001 and till today i've never had a problem. If there's a transaction in there that you didn't approve of, you can always notify paypal and they'll refund you. Its awesome....its probably the most ebuyer friendly payment processor. You don't have to worry if you buy a product such as an ebook or a membership online....cuz if they don't live up with what they claim their product do...you can always refund. Thats why alot of these scam sites don't use paypal...because paypal has buyer protection. You have to notify paypal thought within 30 days if a transaction is bogus or a product that you purchased is not good and you want a refund.

Oh sure paypal is the most safe and flexible website for online transactions. The only thing that you have to be careful about, is, making sure that your password is strong and not easy to be hacked. This is the only practical threat that I can think of. And also, never check the "remember me" box when you use a public computer.
Now as to your queries,
1. No it is not compulsory that you need a verified account for making transactions with paypal. To get verified, you have to link your paypal a/c with your credit card, but this is not compulsory. But it is indispensable that you link your bank a/c with paypal for making transactions.
2. Yes it is safe to give your credit card or bank a/c details to paypal. After all it is with this info that you can make transactions online with paypal!
3.This Q is same as your 1st Q.And the answer too is the same!
Regards
Pranav
