Is jail always the answer?

Usually when someone does something wrong or illegal they are sentenced to jail. Is that necessary all the time. Is there any situation that doesnt warrant a jail sentence? For me, I think that jail isnt always the answer....

surfacesur I think jail is nescessary most of the time. But I agree, some times it is not nescessary. But I do prefer jail as the sentence. I do not think that death or society work solves anything. They need to realize their mistake, if it is big enough to go to jail.
