Where have you got it?

Mine is mostly all me. My family listen to country from way back but I do listen to current country...late 80s is about as far back as I go though. I listen to Pop and Rock and no one else in my family does. Most of my friends also have different tastes in music...many of them dont give Hanson a chance due to Mmmbop, but I am a hardcore fan anyway with some fellow fansons as we call ourselves. My main are pop and country so I usually have headphones in around my family...they dont like my style much. lol

hi surfacesur, i like j-pop/j-rock..i had a crush on this one girl..at that time, she was going to further her study in japan..and there was an assignment on Japanese music and i've helped her a little..starting from that, i started to gain interest on j-music..

I'm honestly not too sure where mine came from. I just hear something and if I like it, I like it. I don't base my likes and dislikes on other people's opinions, so I don't feel that I learnt my musical taste from others. I do have the same taste in music as alot of my friends, but I don't think we really got it from eachother.

I have very young memories of laying on the floor in my parents' living room in front of the stereo listening to an AM oldies station. It went off the air at 6 or so but during the day I'd lay there for hours listening to music. And it was both good and bad.... Most people can remember their first Beatles songs, but they were all over that station so I have no idea which was my first. My tastes are all over the map. I have a little bit of everything in my collection. Punk, folk, country, rap, the Rat Pack, Broadway showtunes.... I don't have a favorite genre, specifically, just whatever "speaks" to me.

My parents liked Opera and classical music. I never developed a taste for the opera but I do like classical music and big band music. Of course, I grew up in the 60s so the Beattles and other rock n roll bands were what I listened to. In the 70s it was Black Sabbath, the 80s was disco, and now it's just rock. I share my children's interest in their music and enjoy my own taste as well. It's pretty much up to your own taste when it comes to what you like to listen to.
