All year round every scietist and all the other people talk for hours about the climate, and how we use to much of this and that and that we have to reduce the CO2.
But then, when it is suddenly december, no one worries about the climate anymore, now everybody is just compeding about having the best christmas dekorations, the biggest star of their three, and the most chains on the christmasthree!
Why don't we worry about the climate, just because it is december? Do you think about the climate? What do you think will "win": Christmas or the climate?

Xmas wins because Americans are consumers. Fat and greedy people want the prettiest house on the block. Everyone wants to keep up with everyone. There is even a friend of my 8 year old that has a cell phone. :/ Yeah, crazy people. Have to look good and have more more more. Pathetic.

To be honest, people will be people. No two people can agree on any one thing. Its human nature to have something to complain about. And it is true at time we do use more natural resources then we should, and its a real shame. However, sometimes when the holidays come around, other crises take over. Its not so much everyone wants the best dicorations, its more or less a way of showing where we rank in the grand sceame of things.
Think about it. A big concern that often trumps our mother earth is to put it simply greed and the need for money. Those who have it and make a six figure income feel they need to show off. They don't have to worry about where there next meal is coming from. They are secure enough that that roof will last. So spend on extravegances such as large lights, many direcerations and what not, because the incress in the eletric bill is well nothing more then a drop in the bucket.
But, there are those who don't have much, but want to show their pride for the holiday. Those are people who accumlate stuff over the years, and don't always have such huge displays.
Its not so much that no one stops being concerned about the earth, but the holidays bring out a side of people who suddenly realize they need to stop and smell the roses. to be reminded that life is short. And also realize that panicing won't solve life's problems.
