My mother would always scold us when she knows we are from outside and still feeling hot. She never wanted us to take a bath. According to her it's not advisable to to that. Because it would result bad to our body system in cells and bones.
Do you have idea on this case?

Helo Zearah.I do bath, whenever I feel hot or sweaty.Over here in India,it is so hot and humid most of the time, that Iam impelled to have a shower every now and then.Besides,it makes you feel clean an hygienic. Its not bad for your tissues,as long as you do not have asthma or any other such ailments.

I hope I get what you mean. According to my mom, she advice us not to take bath if we are just finish playing and still sweating. She will advice us to rest a while to get the body cool down first. Just imagine if you just finish some sports or games, sweating a lot there, can you bath immediately? So this is what my mom tell us. Happy mylotting!

I usually get something cold to drink, and cool off for a while first, before taking a bath.

I do use a wet towel to cool off. Not a cold one though. And, i drink a coke in ice, but its usually been sitting out in the heat also, and is not as cold as the freshly poured ones.

Yes, I do take bath whenever I feel like. When it is very hot, I feel very uncomfortable and take bath. Bathing is not bad and it is always beneficial for healthy as you are always clean, out of dirt and dust. If your mom suggest not to bath, she means that ok you can take bath but not instantly. Take a rest for a while say 10 min. and then take a bath. That will cool your body and you can take bath. In summer I take bath as frequently as I can say more than 3 times a day. But in general, I take bath twice. Once in the morning and other before going to bed.

It is not bad in our body, as long as you are not tired, you have taken enough rest from what you have done.
Taking a bath just for the purpose of cleanliness or feeling comfortable and you are tired is not good.
Taking a bath if you do not have enough sleep at night or say in a day is not good.
Taking a bath after watching tv or anything you watch for longer time is not good.

You have to take a rest before you take a bath. Just like a mug, after pouring it with hot water you have to cool it down first before you pour it with cold water, coz it make breaks. But I don't know what is the effect if we go to bath after the heat.

I take a shower when I am all hot and sweaty... my mom used to scold at us when I get all hot and sweaty from playing or exercising then take a shower, she said it is not good for our body.
And now where I live is always cool so even I work outside and get hot and sweaty, I just need to stay inside the house for a while because my house always stays cool.

You mom is correct. It is not good to take a shower when you are still sweating. The same is true of drinking iced water when extremely hot. That hurts the digestion system, and more harmful to the heart.

Yes elders say that
Taking a bath when you just got home will make your legs ugly..The veins at your legs when you take a bath when you just got home will constrict that will cause obvious appearance of the veins at your legs..Some can look like a spiderweb that is very common in women. But with me, I cant help it,I take a shower always whenever I feel hot and now veins became more obvious

if i've been doing something outside and am really hot, when i come inside i'll sit down for about 10 minutes to cool off then go take a shower. if i've been out riding and am hot, when i wash the horses down, i'll soak my head with the hose just because the cold water feels so good:)

When I sweat I take a bath. After sport or activities I take bath. Otherwise I shower every second day. In my country the sun and heat does not make you sweat at all! It is very cold in fact. And rainy. But when I'm travelling in a hot place I tend to shower more. Mostly because I am in the sea where it's salty and I need to get the salt of my body.

I took only baths when I was a little kid. But now that I'm no longer a kid, I take only showers. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a bath or shower when you are hot and sweaty, it just helps clean your body and makes you feel better.

I just cant stand being all hot and sweaty! I'll wipe my sweat dry and once I'm a little cooled down, I'll hit the showers! I just cant stand being hot. I need to cool down no matter what. Bad or good, I just need to do it.

Hi zearah.
I don't have an idea on what your mother is talking about. But i think what she means is that not to take a bath after sweating hard. Why? Because we we lose sweat and our pores are maintained open. Bathing right after sweating might absorb some cold water that might result to colds due to imbalances.
