Was it what you thought it would be about?

For me it was not! Before I had ever seen it, I didn't know much about it besides that it was really popular. I thought it was just some lame action movie guys liked. I thought it was plainly about a club for fighting. I assumed it was just some stupid movie with a bunch of tough guys doing tough things. But when I saw it it wasn't like that at all! It was actually a really smart movie, and complex. Everytime I see it, I notice more things I hadn't before. Did anyone else have this impression? What did you expect before you saw it?

Yeah, same for me, I was clueless as to how the movies was and just knew it was popular as hell. And yeah, this movie has such a reach texture as far as plot goes, that is only gets better in the details for each time you watch it again. Now you made me want to watch it again ;)

Yup except the twist that Norton character is Tyler, the ending shocked me too, i well i expect i think this movie would be Class B movie like other brainless Van Damme action movie but i was wrong at all

I had no clue what the movie was about when I saw the previews, they don't tell you a single thing about the film in general. So I went in blind for the most part. I expected something that was overrated honestly, since usually things that get hyped up end up not living up to my expectations, this one pulled it off with no problem though.
