im interested in purchasing one, and im a student so i get a small discount from apple.
recently apple released their macbook pro, whcih the cheapest sells for $1200, which apple is currently offering a 8GB ipod itouch with each mac purchase.
ive used macs before, and i certainly like using their operating system in comparison to windows xp and vista. i believe that purchasing one will save me a lot of troubles with fighting viruses, since they tend to be less likely to be affected. but 1200 is a bit price tag, and i want to know how durable they are, and how long people tend to keep their macs.
thank you for your feedback

Howdy KupoSin!
Then go for it buddy. You are lucky you are a student living in the USA and you can buy Apple Mac like that. I think they also have some kind of installment also unless you are living over there of course just find it in apple.com. But I'm not sure if is still there.
An Apple MacBook pro the 13 inch, man that's the pro but its the small ones. It is the same as its big sisters. And it is almost the same spec of the least configuration of an Apple iMac the 20" 2.66 . The Harddisk of that MacBook Pro is 160gb or 250gb but it is upgradable if you want to. Not on my iMac the harddisk is not upgradable but its is 300GB and that is fine for me, I'll just buy and external harddisk.
The softwares don't worry, it is endless not just other saying that is limited. So fast, so cool and seamless. You just have to install the softwares that you need and wanted you can have it. Games, utilities and so much more applications. Not just like in Windows when you have lots of Softwares already installed its going to slow no matter what you are going to do. But on Mac, my Mac is overloaded you don't ever realized on a Windows. And still the speed is still the same. The speed when still there is no applications installed is still the same speed when it is already lots of installed softwares.
For me I found a real computer and there's no one can beat Apple Mac. And I love my iMac. My iMac is the least spec option of the newest model of Apple iMacs. I just bought the iMac last April because I have a special offer of discounted price so I grab that quick, its a limited offer. I thought I would be disappointed because it is the least spec but everything so great. Truly satisfied. My iMac is 20" 2.66 GB, with 300gb of Harddisk, only 2GB of RAM (I thought is not ok but it is fine and so ok). I don't problem some noise so quite because there are no big blowers.
If you want lets keep in touch so we can help or share each other about Apple Mac especially the softwares and other stuffs.
