Well mylotters,
Just tell me how well you sleep? do you sleep normal, I mean without taking the help of the exterior factor like sleeping tablets and all or when you lie down on your bed
you have the natural sleep and you are taken the land of the fairies? Many people have insomnia and all, but are you spared of this menace?
Just look how a child is having his natural sleep.

I almost never have a good nights sleep. I was robbed at gunpoint 8 months ago and I have been going crazy ever since. In may I saw the guy who robbed me, and he was arrested, and I have had to go to court a whole bunch of times. This past monday, his bail was reduced to 1500 dollars, and he was released. I refuse to leave my house, and my sleep hasn't been good at all.

usually, i can sleep well naturally. but before sleeping, i always write diaries, and lock my feelings there, then can sleep without any worries.
but these days, i dont know why i always dream in the evening, what's worse, not happy ones, though also not sad.

Hi yolanda,
That is fine that you have a sort of mixed dream in the evening and rest of the sleeping hour is ok. and writing diary is a good habit too. I used to write earlier now do not feel like. I rather compose poems.
Thanks for sharing.

I do sometimes. And when I finally get there I sleep pretty well actually. I think the pop I have started drinking again is keeping me up til all hours again. I only drink it when it is hot. But drinking it late in the evening doesn't seem to help my sleeping. Haha

You bet! Mind over matter. Ya, right. Some mornings I am still awake at 6 or 7a., have things I need to do that day and no end to it in sight. I have gotten used to 3 or 4 hours of sleep. Like today I got about four and had to run around half the day. I just try to have a rest at some point. Just setting infront of the AC and answering these for afew helps. Then maybe in afew days I will crash and burn for hours and somewhat make it up to myself. Insomnia is great! Oh ya! That may be why the funny farm has been looking for me lately.

Rajib-
Dear friend, I used to take Valarian root to help me sleep many years ago. It was a time of great stress in my life and the teaching world, that I couldn't fall asleep on my own. I did not wish to do anything narcotic, so I opted for the natural methods. I also took a tea about an hour before bed that had mugwart on it. It works wonders!
Today I don't seem to have any issues falling asleep. I generally nod off fairly quickly. I have recently had very vivid dreams, so those have left me wanting for a deep sleep, but all in all I'm happy.

It's an herb that helps promote sleep. It doesn't work like most sleep aides in making you pass out, but it helps in calming the body.

I don't usually have a problem with insomnia. I am living in a very stressful situation and so when I lay down, I am emotionally and physically spent. I usually go right off to sleep. My trouble is that I don't stay asleep. I wake up all through the night. I can't wait for a time in my life when I can actually get a good night's sleep!

I don't really lie awake all night, but I do not sleep well. There are people in and out of the room all night and I wake up at least every two or three hours. I usually try to stay in bed about 6 hours if I can. Some times i get 7.

I am a deep sleeper. It might take me 15-30 minutes to fall asleep, but once I am, I don't wake up until my alarm goes off in the morning - and it takes me about half an hour to really "wake up" in the mornings, as I do not drink coffee. I don't take any pills or anything.

I cant say I am sleeping deeply these days. I get up in the middle of the night wide awake, but I keep lying down with eyes closed. My mind starts working overtime and I start thinking of usueless things, sometimes even a tune keeps going on in my head, bang in the middle of the night, and not that I havea heard it before sleeping. Whatever, I dont go in for sleeping pills. I know they are terribly addicting and then you've had it. I just lie down and wait for sleep to come back.

i have been wishing for a good sleep ever but i work at night and since then i came to deal with sleep deprivation. my body still prefers a good night sleep. i can't wake up without an alarm at night and without whining hahaha.. but hey, the job pays better so i have to deal with it. :B
during day time, before i sleep, i tend to read or listen to music or (most of the time) force myself to go to sleep. i dont take sleeping pills -- i might not wake up or get drowsy the whole shift or whatever.. im really having a hard time getting myself a good sleep except when it's my rest day but even during my rest day, i tend to sleep as if i'm wroking the next day because if i change my sleeping hours, im going to have problems adjusting it by the time i get back to work..

Hi,
to sum up basically you do not have a good sleep and still you do not take medication for you have lots of work at night and by the time you wind up it is too late and have to go to the lap of the day. Not bad, if you have sleep at all.
Thanks for the response.

Yes I usually do sleep very well- easily and peacefully. But sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with my heart beating fast, and then it is a bit difficult to go back to sleep again, but I do manage.
On other days, when I am stressed out and stuff, going to sleep is hard. But I use an extra pillow bent down under me which makes me feel comfortable and helps me go to sleep.
I have never needed extra sleeping aid like tablets Thank God.

Hi Rajib
I used to have very erratic sleeping pattern until a few years ago. Luckily things are OK mow. There had been reasons for this though and I just would not get good sleep. The result? A very bad day to follow and I was left with an incomplete feeling all the time. I have gone past those days and now I sleep well. I do not have to take any sedative or any other things. I just need to read a few lines before I am asleep. Sometime I fall asleep watching TV and my mom switches off the lights and TV.

Hi
Fortunately I don’t have any problems with sleep so far. In other words, till now I have not gone through any sleep disorders. My day is hectic with much commitments and I think it helps to me to get a good sleep. Natural sleep is a blessing and I heard many stories about sleeping disorders. It will be a horrible experience if anybody can’t get sleep in night. Now I remember, once I have gone through the same terrible experience when I was down with Chickenpox. Otherwise I never had any sleeping disorders.
