Have you ever fell asleep during a class in school?

Yes Ofcourse, Specially for those Chemistry classes at school. In the earlier days the teacher used to notice. Initially she asked to wash my face (to be fresh). Later on the tone started changing. Later on I somehow giving an impression that I was writing down lecture notes. Some teachers do notice us sleeping but just carry on without making an issue out of it! Thanx for the good question!

yeah... i've dozed off countless times in school... the teachers never tell me anything but they probably know that i'm dozing off. i guess the consequences i get is that i miss everything the teacher has been saying. because we have a rigorous curriculum at our school, we can't afford to miss whatever the teacher is saying or else we will not be able to obtain good grades (which is vital for colleges yikes!) anyway i have never snored in class but i've drooled which is disgusting and embarrassing but oh well.. haha i always seem to jerk when i doze off. so i will start dozing off and i will jerk as if i fell from a tall building and i sort of get up really quick and everyone looks at me as if i'm crazy.

I don't think I ever truly fell asleep in a class but I do think I have dozed off a couple of times...thank god I've never been caught :-). Good thing I don't snore either because that would be embarassing lol.

Hi friend............. I never have a tight sleep in class but i often lay down on desk and close my eyes....especially in economics period.........sometimes my teacher explains a lot more than required and then not only me.........half of the class tends to sleep........and second when our english teachers reads us a lesson........she too but not sometimes she always explains more than required...........!!! But most of the time i am attentive in class...!!!

I didn't sleep in my class because i would be hit.I ever a little closed my eyes blur when i wanted to sleep.

I have fallen asleep in many of my classes. The worst class that I can remember falling asleep in was my 9th grade science teacher. I remember falling asleep in that class and the teacher waking me up by slamming a book on my desk. I ended up getting sent to In School Suspension for flipping out. So yes I do remember falling asleep in school.

I too have slept many times at school. But never got caught by a teacher. I usually sit in last but one bench and hence rarely teachers will have an eye on me. Actually teachers are more happy if I don disturb their class by asking doubts. So if they see me sleeping they won`t bother to wake me up. Even if we get caught they`ll just warn us for sleeping in class. No one in my school has got detention for sleeping in the class and all. But surely sleeping in the class is a fun.

Yes. History class used to be my nap time. The thing that I loved most about the class was the fact that I could catch a good power nap and most times it would go un-noticed. I sat in the back of the room and my hair would cover my eyes so I could just drift off while sitting up. The teacher was usually so caught up in listening to himself that he really didn't pay attention. Only once I got noticed. the teacher walked up to me and gently kicked my leg to wake me. In my half awake state, I thought it was my friend seated next to me and I kicked back....oops. I got a warning that if I ever fell asleep in his class again, he'd send me to the nurse to find out just why I was so tired.

hi this has happened many times to me.when i dont have sufficient sleep ,i get drowsy in the class.and it is very tough controlling sleep during the classes,so i wash my face.when there are any boring lecture classes in the college ,i tend to get very sleepy.i dont snore when sleeping at home.

I would say that I have done this many a time but I can recall a very recent incident when my professor caught me napping on the 1st bench.He humiliated me in front of whole classmates and then cancelled my whole week's attendance.This was not good on his part but I was myself responsible for this.have a good day

My school time is from 9am to 3pm. And this is my bed time too!

I have not ever done it, but I have tried sometimes. Sometimes the teachers go on and on about something that really does not mattter. You sit on your chair thinking "please stop .. we know this already! Let me sleep!"

I find Economics sleepy. No matter who the professor is, Economics class always makes me sleepy. It's the only class I've ever slept in ever. D:

No way in Chinese primary and middle school, because it is not possible for the teachers to allow you to do that. In the university, if I feel that the lectures are rather boring, I perfer not to show in the class.

hello defcon505, For as long that I can remember, I don't think I ever did that when I was still studying. Don't like to miss something in class that's why I need to be attentive always. Besides my I don't like that my classmates will get fun of me that's why. It's indeed a bad habit and can also get attention to everyone. I remember our teachers before will let us stand for a while and do some exercise. Sometimes he/she will let us sing and walk around the room so everyone will be awake. This way, no one will sleep in their class ever.

Yes i have fell asleep in class when i was in school.In our chemistry classes i feel asleep,nothing to do.It was very boring.I hate chemistry.I sit in last benches where teacher can't notice and fell asleep.

it's quiet interesting topic. i can't remember how many times i fell asleep during a clss, especiall when i were in university. at the time we used very big classrooms for a few subjects. so students from different departments would join together to have lesson. so we all chose the chairs in the back of the classroom. When we got a chance we fell asleep for a while. we thought teacher would not notice because it's so big room and so many students, now i realised teacher can see very clearly every corner of the room.

Haha Interesting discussion i like it I remembered once i was just very tried and fell asleep in the Class.I was sit in the end of the class in the computer lesson.So the teacher didn't find out me. Since that i never fell asleep in the class.Even i want to sleep i will do sth try transfer my attention it works.I think fell asleep in the class it's not a good stuff the teacher will think that you are not respect him/her

i dont fell asleep during a class,but i have a classmate,she fell asleep during a class,unexpectedly,she had scream sudlly in her sleep for a frightful nightmare,everyone in classromm was shocked by her scream,also include the teacher.

Hi!I also have fallen asleep in class,especially in the senior high school,because at that time,we have 8 classes in the day and 2 self-study classes at night.Everyday,we felt very tired and always felt that we do not sleep enough,so we sometimes could not help sleeping in class to make up our sleep.Now I am a university student,I seldom sleep in classs,because we can control most of our time,and can have a good sleep at night except during the weeks for exams when we need to make a good preparation for the examination.Sometimes,we study late at night at 2 or 3 clock.
