what field would you want to have a go at?
I've been thinking about this for awhile. Not that I got to finish my college education the first time around, but I've been contemplating going back to school and getting training or a degree so that I can get a job in a different field (at the moment I'm a cashier at a grocery store). To be honest, I have a few things I'm interested in, but I haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up quite yet. Which is amusing, since I'm 33 years old at this point.
So I'm curious as to what you'd study, maybe you can give me more ideas, LOL.

Im currently studying in my second year of university and would love to take papers in international relations but sadly this subject is not offered at my university. I plan on applying after college to become a diplomat and currently study business, media studies and anthropology. Perhaps I will transfer to another university or study overseas for my masters and will get the oppurtunity to study international realtions.

It would be hard to suggest things to you. LOL
You must need to know what you really like before jumping into other things again.
Me, I am a graduate of Information technology and got my diploma lat year.
But since the question is if I could go back to school and be trained, I would certainly go to a music school.
I totally love music and realized that it is my passion.
But going to a music school is quite expensive here.
We're not rich so I think why don't I try other things instead.
And since I'm interested in computers I take up Info Tech.
And now year passed, and I think the diploma I had gave me good opportunities.
It's easy to get a job since I have a diploma and I know stuff about computers.
And about my love for music, Im still loving it.
I'll work and little by little , I'll do something to fulfill my dreams.
So for you I think the best thing for you is to look for something you really like..
You need to decides what the best for you.

I finished my bachelor's Degree in computer Science then enrolled a postgraduate degree in Business Administration. I am on my way of finishing my thesis next semester. I'm somewhat a bit confuse on whether to finish my thesis or to just get my certificate because MBA is somewhat different from my BW Developer job.
But recently I've realized, finishing MBA is some sort of broadening my horizons, in fact i still want to enroll in a certain language school after my thesis.
Choosing a course to study is like choosing where you wanted to go. So just figure out what you really want yourself be in years from now.

I used to be into insurance...auto adjusting but I never finished all my classes on that. That was good money and I liked it but not sure at this point I'd want to go back to it. I think now, I would love to get into something more creative like ...I don't know...photography or something. I'm 53 so I really don't see it happening but you never know.

Where I’m at now I would love to do a course in marketing/selling. I’ve realised that if you have the ability to market and sell a product you will always be able to generate an income no matter how hard up you are.
But also the subject is so interesting as it looks at the psychology of your potential market and how they buy amongst other things, something which has always fascinated me ever since my first job in a supermarket.

Hi wiccania, my university days are well behind me when I studied literature, and reading constantly keeps me well educated. But a lot of my reading has sparked interest in areas I would have never even contemplated when I had the chance. So hypothetically only i would love to study criminolgy and psychology together then I could grow up to be a psychological profiler and study serial killers in depth. It's not going to happen now and to the best of my knowledge there wouldn't be any to study here but you asked for ideas.

Hi Wiccania,
I finished Psychology and pursued a career in human resources, it's on the side of industrial psychology. I'm planning to go back to school to get a certification on special education, and I want to explore clinical psychology this time.
I would say whenever contemplating on a career change, it should be within your interest, as it will keep the fire burning and you will continue to excel in your chosen field, and most likely money will follow. It's important to have a job that pays, but it's even more important to have a job that you enjoy.

My major is international trade, than I graduated ,I worked in a foreign trade company. It is very tired, many people think it can make much money, but I dont have good ability until now,my English is poor,my major knowledge also not good.So many times,I want to quit, want to change another kind of job.But now,I realised, not because I dont like this work, that is I dont try harder,I think I am bad at my English, but I dont take much more time to study it....So,I think we must grasp current days.

i have two degrees.i am a rural sociologist and a nurse. if i were to be given the time and money to pursue a new career, i would take up medicine.I guess it's basically my lifelong wish to be a doctor but couldn't seem to go to that tract for some reason or the other. nursing, although it has a large medical element in it, doesn't quite measure up. i love to dwell on pathology and etiology of a disease and nursing just don't go in depth on these areas...my point is,pursue something that you really love. it would really help a lot what you want to become..

Hi there Wiccania!Well, I stopped studying for five years when I got married and had a son. I went back to college a year ago because I felt that I would really love to be a teacher so I decided to enroll and continue my studies. I love kids and I love teaching them so now, I still have a about two years to go till I graduate since mostof my old subjects were not credited because the curriculum has changed a lot in those five years that I stopped studying. I am currently studying in Aklan Catholic College.

hello wiccania,
I'm already 47 years old going to 48 this coming September. I graduated in Electronics and Communications Engineering and luckily was able to passed the board exam. For now I'm working in a multi-million company for 25 years already with my field of interest. I'm so happy that I can apply what I have studied during my college and was able to learned a lot since I attended a lot of training to know more and improve more my knowledge. Since I was small this is already my field of interest.
Given a chance of to go back to school and study I think I will still get the same course that I have taken the first time. I love my job and so happy about it.

I think I would try acting or something related to the film industry inspite of the fact tha I tend to be shy. I went to college and have a Ph.D. in physics and worked for over 12 years and then times got rough in the area I had been working in and I have been unemployed for 20 years and making my living from investing with my savings; I have always been very frugal and saved at the rate of 20% or more of my income per year when I was working and most of the time as just an investor.

i do believe that taking professional qualifications could be the best alternative way of changing careers instead of going back to school to spend many years, professional qualifications are becoming more acceptable and can add a great value to an existing career or even when you want to change career it will be very ideal

I studied and finished nursing. Nursing is a wonderful profession. But if were to study again, I would choose to take a course related to school administration. I want to have my own school that caters to the preschoolers and graders. I dream of building up a school that would offer quality, and values to young kids. I want to mold these kids into better persons by assisting them in their growing years. Growing up years is extremely delicate. I would like to be an instrument to these young kids.
Happy mylotting!

Right now I am a registered nurse. But if I were to go back to school and study again I want to take aeronautical engineering. Ever since I was a child I dream of conquering the skies but destiny put me here to conquer the sick people and give them the utmost care I could give.
Taking a pilot course was very expensive before thats why I wasnt able to fulfill that dream my parents cant afford to send me in flying school. thats why when I can get the chance I would love to conquer the skies.
