about Chanller's name ,what's wrong with "Bing"

It doesn't have any second meaning or anything- it's just silly. Chandler is just kind of an awkward, and certainly uncommon first name. And Bing is just goofy sounding and also very uncommon, if it even exists at all.

It's a sound, remember when him and Phoebe were going to make a job interview and she said he shouldn't be him self, like he joke too much? They make believe a job interview then to train, and she said: "Bing? What an intersting name." He replied: "You should hear my uncle Badda!"

I don't know if they ever gave an explanation as to why it's funny, or it's just because the word "Bing" sounds so funny/odd... especially for a last name. Now that I think about it, it might not sound so funny/odd from an Asian's perspective. The word kind of has that Asian ring to it... or maybe it's only me, thinking that :P I could just be totally weird, in thinking that...

The last name Bing is funny because its not really supposed to be a word, it's supposed to be a sound. Some easy examples would be if someone had the last name quack, clank, moo, or ribbit...There funny because the are sounds. Also if you said the names together (chandler bing) it's like your saying his first name and then adding a noise to the end of it...instead of saying his last name. Did i explain it good enough....i mean did i answer your ?
