Moviv or TV has become one of the most powerful means of communication in our history, and is more and more difficult to ignore. TV is as much a part of our lives as meals, sleep or school. It is reported that the average American child spends almost as much time watching TV as he or she does in school. Well, we only have 24 hours a day and it is clear that the more time we spend on watching TV, the less time we do wiht our family and friends.

You can look at it from this point of view if you're the talkative type. It's been said that the tv fills the gap of silence in the room, when twp people don't have anything to say to each other. I don't look at the tv as an crutch, more as an form of entertainment.

I do believe that the television and movies have become a block to family communication... but so hasn't the computer. With the computer there are many things on it to keep ones attention, including other people that could ruin a marriage or any other sort of relationship, because of the accessibility. Thats why parents and other adults should set an example and limit time on anything... however television and movies can be shared by a whole family once a week, with a game night once a week... and a single night by oneself after a nice early dinner. Its not just that though, parents have to these days work two and three jobs just to get by so that leaves little time for family time.

Dear friend, I could also find these communication is an advancement in technology and information. As the time passes the changes also occure. May be much of relationship values may go and people could tend much in materialistic. Still I hope the value of humanity is most needed even the technology and other advancement comes. May be the addiction to these media has become much negative in one side even though there are lots of positive too.

I think too much of anything that interferes with family time is bad. I think there are several things that will mess up your family life and if you spend too much time on TV, movies or computers it is bad for communication. Movies though actually, I dont think are too bad because in general people watch them together and will discuss them.
