whatever religion you may have, have you ever seen your respective gods? did he talked to you? he lives where? in the clouds? You probably heard so many good things or sometimes bad things about our god, but have you ever wondered if these are true or just a product of one's imagination? you have probably sought the inspiring words of your religion's holy scriptures without questioning the accuracy of its translation and interpretation. why did our god created us weak but he wants us to be strong, why did he gave us the ability to hate but he wants us to love one another, why did he gave us brains to think and be logical yet our religion condemns us if we question our faith. am i being unholy or evil for asking these questions?

As a response to your question "Have you ever questioned the existence of god?", my answer would have to be yes. But if you ask if I believe in a God, then my answer would also be yes. One might say that he or she does not believe in the word god but feels that there is something more bigger and larger than us out there...well it is of my opinion that we should call that "something" for what it is: a Supreme Being or God, just by another name. Somewhere along the the years, I thought I lost my faith, but by questioning the existence of god I have come to realize that a God does exist. About the paradoxical nature of things, I could only say that one side of a story is only one-half of the truth value of the story. One should take into account the other half (even though it might not be that convenient) in order for one to grasp the whole idea of the paradox. And one more thing, even atheists believe in one thing, and that one thing is called "nothing". (That last line was not originally mine, just read it off somewhere. :D )

I was baptized a Catholic and found it was not what I believed. I attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall with my father a few times as he was a Jehovah's Witness. I thought that was better but still didn't sound right. Then I started attending a Christian Church with a friend and my cousin. That was better still but all the bibles said pretty much the same thing. It didn't seem to make sense no matter how you looked at it each religion would just interpret and follow certain things and disregard others. I knew about Wicca from the 70's but didn't study it at all. I thought it was just witchcraft. Well as time went by I did study it and found that basically it is what I believe. Pretty much I have come to the conclusion that the Christian religions are based on Paganistic views, just changed to suit their needs. I believe that there is God, Creator whatever you want to call it and that it holds both feminine and masculine qualities. There have been many people throughout the history of time that are considered "Gods" They are people just like Jesus was. If you really pay attention to the things that they claim Jesus did, then you can come to no other conclusion than - Jesus was a Shaman and a Practitioner of Magic, not that there is anything wrong with that but why can't Christians admit that. I feel we are all connected and all energy based. Our souls use bodies on earth and other places to learn and attain the highest level. When we have reached the level required to meet our Creator, we will. These are just my views and I hope this doesn't start some big controversy.. lol Blessed be, Mari

i'm a christian, but ever since i was a kid i questioned god's existence. as i grew older, i started to confide in other people, friends, family, even priests. i've read the bible and started researching on other religions. but i simply couldn't believe in god. i'm not closing my doors though, i'm still looking for god.

All the secrets of the universe stare us in the face. It is up to us to discover them.If you really care about truth, you can never give up your search for God. If God does not exist, you must search forever or until you find the proof God does not exist. Funny thing about searching for God. Sometimes those who search find what they are searching for. If you give up searching and wait for others to bring all your answers, what can you ever hope to really discover. God loves for His children to question. It has always been the road to truth. The only ones who do not want you to question are those who hide the truth!!!

I used to be a Christian merely for the fact I was born into a Christian family. I used to believe in God, pray, and have faith in him as well. As I got older and older, I did question his existence and come to the point where I don't believe in him now. I won't say I'm right or wrong, as I don't like to force my beliefs on others. But I will say this. Even if a certain God is real, for example, the Christian God; I doubt any God would dislike someone for not believing in his existence. After all, if God does exist, he would be a more advanced being and be able to understand human emotions and thoughts to the fullest. There's nothing wrong with being unsure about if God is real or not. Follow what you believe in.

All the time, and probably always will do it. I figure if God did not want me to wonder he would have have given me that ability to do it.

I think it is healthy for us to question it If we dont question it how are we supposed to learn and grow spiritually? I see and feel my God and Goddess everytime I look in the mirror they live within me

I never, once in my life doubted the existence of God. He may not appear physically like how we see him on TV or how we imagined him to look like. He manifests himself in many other ways. It could be from the goodness of someone to you, happiness that you feel, blessings. It matters only in our faith to Him. If we believe that He is present, that He will take care of everything then nothing will ever go out of hand.
