Hello all. Everybody has a name, isn't it? If we don't have name, how do people will call us? Name is really important. People will now us by our name even after we die. They will now us as the good person or bad person in our lives by our name. Before we born, our parents try really to find us one good name. Usually they give us name with a great meaning. They want us to be like the name they given us. Example Joy. Maybe Joy's parents wanted Joy to be a joyful person in his/her life. But some people don't like their name, and then change their name when they get bigger. Some think that their names have a bad meaning or bad luck or something like that. For myself, I like my name. I don't know why my parents gave this name to me. But I always remember Henry Dunant, the founder of Red Cross. How about you? Do you like your name?

That's really cute..."ENAJ". hahahah I have a basic name and could never really get a nickname out of it. I felt sorta lame when I was younger, because no one could nickname me AND WHENEVER I DID GET A NICKNAME, IT WAS SO LAME LIKE "silent" or "mute" LOL I guess I should be grateful no one nicknamed me "adnerb" !

I very like my name because it is precious to me... this is the very foundation of myself... my parents spent so many time trying to give me this name after i was born.... without your name, you wont have any identity to call your own... i never heard of a person having not named.... maybe the first few hours and minutes of a fresh new born child is not named yet but, sooner, they will be named and they must like it whether they like it or not.... this will be the way to recognize them by others...

Hello!!!Well all the parents give their child a name and there are people who like their name very much and try to follow its meaning and become big with this trigger while some people hate their names because either they are long or unmeaningful or sound weird to them.In my case, I like my name very much.It has a great meaning. My name is Rashmi and it means the ray of light. My parents told me that they gave me this name because they want me to shine like the Rashmi of the Sun and always I should see the ray of light in darkness and believe me I always had a feeling of hope, happiness and light even in the dark phases of my life.I am lucky and I feel very happy that my parents gave me a meaningful name and I really want to prove the meaning of my name one day!I too, want to make my parents feel proud and contended that they gave me such a good name....

Hello I don't mind my name really . Laura I think is common , but I was the only one in my class with that name. Even now where I go I dont hear that name much . I was named after my aunt Laura Ann who was a nun . I know parents who have picked the name Faith, Hope, and Grace for meanings .

Being the only one in your class with that name I think is common. Usually teachers will arrange the students so that none has the same name in that class. If not like that, teachers that teach in that class with get confuse. but maybe it's different if you're in the university. In one class, you can find more than 1 same names. Laura is a beautiful name, especially the meaning. Faith, Hope, and Grace? Wow, so exciting. I have a friend named Laura, too. She is a music teacher. I hope you live like your name. Always have faith and hope in God and God's grace always come upon you.

So we can say that not only clothes that can be old fashioned, even name can be old fashioned too, huh? And old fashion thing sometimes became a trend like your name. Good luck with your name. Don't regret that your parents gave you a name like that. That must be something to do with it.

Do you like your name............. Hi there henry, I like my middle name but I don't really like my first name too much. I feel as though my first name should have been longer. When I asked my mother where you got my name from, she said out of a baby book. Then she said, what you don't like it? I didn't want to tell her the truth, so I just said, it's okay, I just wished that it was longer. If I were to change my name, I would probably add an additional letter in it which still would not change the sound of it. But it would just make it look a little bit nicer on paper. Just to give you a hint about my name. One of the brothers of the Jackson five married a lady that has my exact same name. My mother said that she wanted to give all of her children very unusual names, so that much she certainly succeeded in doing I feel. As for my middle name. I was named from one of the soap opera queens. It was a really nice one that my mom must have admired. Anyhow it's true, I do believe that we will live up to what our names mean. I tried my best to be a nice person just like the soap opera queen was. So that's what was in my name......... Happy mylot!

I really dont like my name. Because its a name of a local politician in my state.lets say for an example if i join a new college when they ask me to introduce myself people use to laugh and make comments when i say my name. Sometimes staff who doesnt like the politician they use to make fun on me. This happens not just in school and college but in places wherever it happens to tell my name to the public. Its unfortunate my dad didnt think about my future when i born. But i face all kind of insults because of my name instead of my actions

First of all when I was a childhood I dont like to hear what they called for me. Because they will call me completely in my name and I dont want to hear it . When I grow up and become adolescent period my aunt call me a very nice nickname to my complete name and I really like it. But in my village they used to name me in that line that I dont like to hear. I'm happy that I travel in other place to study in collegenthats the time I started to have it new and its so nice if They call me that my favorite nick names. And now it is used already . heheheeh

Wow, that is really an experience to have a name that you don't like. So, actually change your name into a nickname and you like that nickname a lot more than your name. Well, it's you who decide which name you want to use. But still, in every official document, I believe you have to put your real name and not your nickname. Isn't it? He he he...:)

When I was younger I disliked my name as it is sort of unusual. However now im starting to like my unique name. I never have to worry about someone calling out a common name and turning around to find out they are talking to me. Many people also tell me my name is beautiful, so it can't be that bad. I think everyone should learn to accept and cherish their name as each persons name has a story behind it. My name is also spelt slightly different to most people with the same name.

It's so great that you have a unique name. Not everybody can have. Some of my friends also have unique names. Sometimes it's hard to say their names. Congratulations to you on your unique name. Be proud of it.

Well, alot of people often tells me that i have "unique" name. But to be honest, i really don't like my name. I was named after a sexy star & a beauty queen. She was a talented actress & she portrayed Darn, back in the days. It was nice to be named after a famous celebrity here in the Philippines.. But i really don't like my name. I blame my father for this. HAHA! He was the one who named me this name. But, even though i don't like it, i won't change it. I grew up with this name & i would die with this name. No big deal. HEHE!

Hi, it's very interesting you have asked. My name is pretty basic. You can't really nickname me and it sucks! As a kid I felt sorta lame, because everyone had a nickname which is sorta funny now that you think about it...anyway, so I ended up being named something based on my personality or characteristics (LOL) like "mute" or "silent" OR "DREAMER".... 'sigh'. The only person that could really give me a nickname was my sister and she still calls me "Bren" or "BrenBren" :P Thanks!

to be honest, i really don't like my name. It sounds a little bit boyish and people always pronounced it wrongly because it's not a very common word. But i won't change it either, it has mixed into my life.
