I am a music lover and I really appreciate those voices w/c is big and powerful. I believe xtina is gifted because of his soulful voice. One night, I decided to watch youtube. Those live performances of some artist and I watched this live performance of xtina singing " The voice within ". I already heard this song in my ipod and I was amazed with the rendition. When I compared this performance to her live performance kinda different. Why is it christina makes a different version when she sings live? Lets talk about the high notes, will she be able to reach the bridge part of the song in live? is she tired thats why she cant reach the note and make the song easier for her to get? I noticed this also in her live performance of " Hurt ". Try to check it in youtube. I also noticed her flat notes whe she sings " I turn to you ". Check it again in youtube. Can I have your comment about this one?

Well some artists do that to be spontaneous and give the songs a different version. And some high notes get to be different (lower) so not to strain the vocal chords of the singer during a two-hour concert. Besides, I wouldn't want to hear the songs sang live sounding exactly like the CD version. This gives live performances something to talk about.

I understand your point, what I am trying to explain is, they need to show how powerful their voice is whether live or not. Some of the artist can. "Regine Velasquez", " Celine Dion ". I'd rather be amazed if a performer can belt in live. That will show how versatile and powerful they are.

Maybe Celine can always copy the CD version of the song, but Regine I don't think so. Her voice is tired. And she really have to train, like just Lea did - Regine needs to know how to sing properly. Happy MyLotting!

I've been a Christina since her debut cd. but i will try to look at this your way. she's pretty seasoned and has been at this since tween years. i think she does well considering all this. she doesn't sound the same as she did but she still sings very well and you still know Christina when you hear her and there aren't any artists that i can think of that still sing the same way they did years and years before. there are things artists must do to protect their voices because they do weaken over time and maybe that's what happened. even the song bird beyonce sings differently than she used to. go back and listen to her destiny's child days. no doubt, her voice is till beautiful and hard to touch but her runs aren't nearly as colorful. simply stated, overtime things change.

I love Christina Aguilera too and has been a huge fan of hers since she first came out. If you're a true fan, then you might know that XTina has always insisted on performing live on her concerts because that is what she genniunely believes as what artists should be doing. hence, she makes different live versions for her songs to ensure that this is not the same recordings you hear when playing her album.

Any artist "worth their salt" will change their song for a Live performance. I have been to many concerts and have found that the Live performance is even better than the original recording as you need a bit of virtuosity in your live performance. Just look at any of the great singers or musicians from Music History. They have all gone that extra bit further in a live performance.
